Hi, We just got back from 8 days in the World and we had some great meals! Here's were we ate...

CRT- Character Breakfast: I had read some reviews on this board that the food was not good and I was pleasantly surprised. We all enjoyed everything that was served. Good pastries, and the hot food was good. We especially enjoyed the french toast. The server was very attentive and we had great character interaction.

50's PTC: We had dinner here and the food was good. I had the pot roast, very good and other members of our family enjoyed the fried chicken and the fish. My son had the kids pasta meal and he was very proud when everyone applauded him for cleaning his plate. We had a good server, he played the role well, but wasn't too annoying.

Ohana: We had dinner here and it was enjoyed by all. We had a PS and had to wait about 10 minutes for our table, even though it was early and the place was empty. I thought the food was good, but I expected the meats to be a little bit better. The beef was ordinary and the turkey was very good. We all enjoyed the pinnapple and caramel dipping sauce though! The kids had fun doing the coconut races.

Chef Mickey's-Character dinner: I had also read on these boards that the food at CM for dinner was not good. That was not our experience at all. We thought the food was surprisingly good for a buffet. We enjoyed the prime rib immensley. The place was croweded and very loud, but the kids had good interaction with the characters. We had a lousy table though, we were right next to the kitchen door. A bus boy dropped a huge tray of dirty dishes and yelled "damn". It could have been worse considering, but I still didn't want my kids to hear that. All in all, a decent meal. Not to be missed for the mouse fans.

LeCellier: We loved this place! The cheese soup and breadsticks are to die for! We had the best server ever! Her name was Robyn and she was so sweet. (Unfortunatly her contract is up soon and she goes back to Canada in 2 weeks.) I had the filet mignon and it was the best I have ever had. This was our best meal at WDW.

Hollywood & Vine: The only reason we ate here was for the Fantasmic dinner package. It was okay. They had alot of good food choices, but the food and service were average.

Crystal Palace-Character Breakfast: I was a little disappointed with this place. Mainly because it took forever for the characters to come around and when they did they stayed for about 2 seconds. The food was pretty good and our server was not very attentive.

Whispering Canyon Cafe: We had an early breakfast here and the place was pretty quiet and mellow. The food was good and the portions are huge. We had vouchers for free breakfast and our server was very helpful with ordering, making sure that we were getting all that was included in the vouchers (fruit, pastry and entrees). Good hearty meal.

Tony's Town Square: We had dinner here and the place was packed, and service was just average. Our server made a bad attempt at an italian accent and it was just annoying. The food wasn't anything special, but it served it's purpose. A sit down meal in the MK before fireworks.

That's about it...I'd be happy to answer questions.

Was Wispering Canyon a buffet for breakfast? Is it all you can eat?

Hi there...

Last time I was at MK.. crystal Palace was boarded up and under restoration... I am imagining it must be all fresh and beautiful now.. sorry you found the characters rushed... but how did the restaurant look?

Thanx

Hi...
The WCC is not buffet. They have several items that can be ordered al a carte and they have an all you can eat skillet breakfast for $9.50. They serve eggs, bacon, sauage, french toast, potatoes on a large skillet and they bring more when ever you request it. It's a good deal if you have a large appetite. It's only about $2 more than the regular entrees.

The CP looked very nice. It was my first time there, so I have nothing to compare it to. But it was very pretty. I did actually notice that the ladies room was especially pretty, nice tiles and pretty pictures on the wall. That all looked brand new.
