Just back from 4/7-4/15 stay at BC on DP. Some thoughts:

For us, (family of 4) it was well worth it. It paid for dinner and was like getting lunch and snacks for free.

Yes, it is a lot of food, but we decided we would only eat what we could or wanted. We had snack credits and a few CS credits left over, but we still felt it was a good deal. At dinner, we did order appetizer, main course and dessert. I chose carefully and only gained 2 pounds which is not bad!

The servers in the restaurants were very helpful and knew a lot about the plan. Many made recommendations to help us get the most for our money.

The CM'S at the BC were not as knowledgeable about the plan. This caused a lot of confusion, especially in the Beachclub Marketplace and sometimes at Hurricanne Hanna's.

I will post restaurant reviews on that board when I have more time. I would be happy to answer any questions.

I would be interested in hearing more about BC marketplace. It's not listed on the DP but others like you have posted using the plan here. TIA

I'd also like to know. I'm staying there in September and using the DDP. And what were the issues at Hurricane Hannahs?

Welldone you for not gaining much ! our last trip I gained 7lbs though I ate mainly buffets. I will eat what I like on DP inc desserts. The weight will have to be worked off when I get home. I have started working out 3 * a week in anticipation of eating lots. I love my food. :thumbsup2

I believe the BC Marketplace is a new edition to the DP. We bought snacks there on the plan, but did not use it for CS although I believe you can now.

Yes you can buy milk, juice, coffee, etc at the Marketplace on the DP.

The confusion at Hurricane Hanna's was that french fries are not part of the CS meal. You would get a burger or chicken strips with chips. One day the CM told us we could use a snack credit to buy the fries and then on another day we were told you could not. HH's was extremely crowded for lunch and they just didn't seem to have enough help to accomodate the crowd. One good thing was that if the kids did not want the dessert right away, they were able to go back later in the day to get their Mickey bar.

Same confusion at the Marketplace. I saw a family purchase a box of Entenmann's doughnuts and use a snack credit, but when we tried to buy coffecake we were told it was not considered a snack. It appeared that some of the CM"S were not completely familiar with the plan.

Hope this helps.

Hey neighbor. I live in Westchester County too!

Thank you for the Marketplace information.

We are also staying at the Beach Club and I saw another poster list a CS at the Beach Club called the Beach Club Breakfast Buffet. Do you know what this is?

MissMagnolia:

I have not heard of it. There is a Character Breakfast Buffet at the Cape MAy Cafe which counts as a TS meal, but I did not see what you are referring to. Maybe someone else can help. Sorry.

I agree with OP. When we were at BC last August, a lot of the CM's weren't knowledgeable about the plan. We did, too, have long waits at HH because there wasn't enough help, but were able to come back for that Mickey bar. Our only problem at BC was that once they discovered Gelato, that's all my kids wanted and it wasn't part of the plan , but it sure was delicious.
