We stayed at POR riverside. The resort was beautiful. Room was fine. We were in Arcadian 8106. The only thing we did not like about this resort is the smoking sections. Why do they put these right on the pathways and walkways. There were so many places that they could of went away from the activity. We loved the boat to DTD. The parks were not to busy. We did everything we wanted at MK by noon. Did not fastpass anything. We had rain on Sat when we were at Epcot, but it did not hurt us in anyway. The rest of the days were beautiful. We wanted to use the internet one night. I called up to the front desk and asked where the cable was. They said on the shelve in the closet area in a gray bag. We looked, found nothing, looked in the drawers and night stand. Nothing. I said it was not there. The reply I got was "that is where it is" we check some more, nope, no where to be found. I say nope not there. She says "it is always there", I say, well it is not there now. I get "are you sure", now, I am getting upset. I say "would you like to come to the room and see if you see it on the shelve!" They sent someone out and it was all rolled up behind the night stand. Why would they question that something is not there.
Now for the walking Mickey balloon. I called Disney florist and asked if this could be deflated easy, since we want to take it home and have it filled up again here. They said that would be no problem. This balloon is in 6 different sections, so you would have to fill it by each section. (head, arms legs and body) ( I hope that makes sense) We tried to deflate it carefully, with no luck. We finally just poked holes in it, so we could get it home. We got it on Thurs. afternoon, and by the time we left on Mon., it was losing it's air. Would not recommend this for the money it cost.
The trip was a great time. Loved flower and garden. The only thing that upset me, was I wanted to meet Vern Yip, but unless you were at his lecture, you could not get in line and get a picture or autograph. So I just got a quick picture in between other people. The flowers were awesome.
Now on to planning the next one. :yay:

I'm sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the balloon. Hopefully you were able to experience some Disney "magic" while in the parks anyway. :)

The balloon was fun, it just did not deflate like they said it would. It does not matter if I get any extra pixie dust. I am just always happy when I am at Disney. I just want people to know about the product, because I think we were one of the first to order it. It was very cute.

Did you take a picture you can show us?

No I don't think I even took one. We were on just a weekend trip, and we go often, so didn't take many pictures. Go to the Disney Florist site and you can see it. It is 29 dollars, but after tax and delivery it is 40.

If the balloon is mylar, as I might suspect, what you would want to do for next time is put a straw into the valve and and deflate it that way, carefully. The valves on mylar balloons are generally only meant to go one way.

When you get it home, you might make a trip to your local party store to have it re-inflated with helium as long as it didn't get damaged in transit. You'll want to fold it neatly in your bag and avoid having it balled up if possible.

You can also reinflate it with air by using the staw method, or if it starts to look a little "squishy". :goodvibes

HTH!
