Just Back-OKW & VB, trip notes

Just back from a two week vacation at OKW and VB. We had a great time. First week at OKW was very nice, here are the highlights and lowlights:

Highlights
*Coming home again
*Eating at our favorite restaurants-California Grill, Arist Point and Brown Derby.
*Trying new ones which were wonderful-Kona Cafe at the Poly (best dessert in all of WDW), Palios and Kimonos at the Swam.
*Having High Tea with my family at the Grand Floridian (wonderful)

Lowlights
*Hundreds of ants eating my food just brought at Goodies. Ants came in through crack in tile on long counter in kitchen (even though we were on the second floor) Maintenance did take care of the problem thankfully
*Having my daughter's swimming suit bottoms taken by housekeeping in error and having to buy another swimming suit on vacation.

Second week at VB
Highlights
*Weather absolutely beautiful (no rain)
*One bedroom with view of ocean (fabulous)
*Beautiful resort

Lowhights
*One bedroom looked alittle worn, lots of stains on carpet
*Staff in Schutters restaurant not taking the time to clean up tea spilled on carpet during our dinner which really annoyed me. Waitress spilled almost a the whole pitcher of tea and never thought twice about cleaning the spill up. No wonder the dues are so high.

Long long ride home in car, close to 20 hours. Never again for me. Not very happy to fly but flying sounds so much better then driving again.

Glad you had a good time at both resorts(OKW+VB). Which building were you in at VB? We were at VB in July and was in a 1BR in building 15 (1527) and had a nice view of the ocean.
We always fly down from Ohio........couldn't imagine driving 16-20 hours in a car
