We had an awesome trip. We were at OKW in a Grand Villa from 4/27-5/1. The villa was absolutely beautiful. It was so big. My kids loved it. The room was very clean and we had no problems. We were in Turtle Pond. The main pool was very nice. We spent the whole first day at the pool but then we were so busy we never got back to the pool. I feel we didn't get to really explore the resort. What we saw of it was very nice. It was a huge resort. We took the boat over to DTD the first night and that was a very nice ride. I missed being at SSR and walking to DTD. Everytime we were waiting for a bus at DTD I kept thinking we could be walking to SSR in no time at all. But we did enjoy OKW. The parks were not busy at all. A couple of days were even went against Tour Guide Mike's advise because of weather and the crowds were still light. We used fastpasses and the longest wait we had was about 15 min. We went to Blizzard Beach yesterday and it was not crowded at all. My DD16 and DDF17 went to EMH at Studios and said they just kept walking on tot and RnRc. So crowds were just fine.

This was also the first trip that we actually saw Spectro and Wishes from Main Street and the first time I saw Tinkerbell fly from the castle. It was such an experience. I wanted to cry it was so magical. We had been to Disney 3 times a year for years and just always watched Wishes from the Poly Beach or FW Beach so this was so awesome and Spectro was so awesome.

We did not do the dining plan but probably should have. We had not had any ADR's but we had no problem getting in anywhere. We walked up to LTT and got in within 10 min. for a party of 8. We also got breakfast at 1900 Park Faire for a party of 8 with no problem. We ate at Beaches and Cream one night and only waited about 10 min for a table for the same party of 8, so getting in resturants was not a problem. We also ate at Wolfgang Puck Express two nights. I love that place. Anyway, we had a great trip. My DDF17 had never been to Disney so it was so much fun to show her around. They did all 4 parks in two days and a waterpark and had a ball. Weather was perfect sunshine every day but one day was cloudy for the first half of the day.

any questions, let me know.

What building were in on Turtle Pond. How was your view. We are going down in August for our first stay in a GV and I am torn to which building to equest.

We were in building 43. We had a very nice view of the pond.

You actually could have walked to DTD from there, but you were kind of in that "no man's land" of OKW that is not close to anywhere. From the South Point area, DTD is almost as fast to walk to as it is from SSR. The path goes along the canal, but it is not lighted at night, so not a good thing to do after dark. We LOVE the pontoon boat to DTD though! Sometimes we take it just to ride the boat and not really do anything in DTD.
