How many people were in your log? When we went on Splash Mountain it was my hubby in the front, my daughter (4) second, and me third. None of us got soaked. DH got the most wet of course but we put on our hoodies after and were fine.
It’s since it came back from refurbishment last April (2018).Hmmmm. We love splash. Is this something that is fairly new? I'm 6 ft 6 inch and 285. Should I take the back to try and save our boat?
As far as the shop talk, It wasn't anything too bad, and I wouldn't want to really complain about it (in fact one CM was really trying to do something nice for another). I just feel like that wouldn't have happened within earshot of guests at WDW.
It isn't necessarily that consistent -- you will probably get wet, but not always get soaked enough to need to change clothes. But, if you like riding Splash repeatedly (FP, SR, etc.), then I would save it for last so that you can get soaked without fear! If you want to ride earlier in the day, then prepare by wearing ponchos and flip flops so that you won't have to return to the hotel to change.Interesting notes on Splash. We're first timers going in May. Would we be best off trying to ride this right before leaving for the day? We do this for the water rides at Universal Orlando so that we can head back to our resort right after, and not have to walk around with wet underwear and shoes all day! Does it get you that wet where we should plan for this?
If we should consider doing this last so that we can go back and change, do Splash fast passes typically run out early? Or is the standby line usually manageable?

I’ve never seen that! We were last in there about two weeks ago. There are sometimes children running around and shrieking - last time, a few of them had those foam swords and shields and were fighting up on the platform. The benches in there are fairly new, and it’s an indoor escape from the weather, in the dark, so maybe they’ve encouraged nappers?I just remembered one observation from my trip that I found odd and puzzling:
- I had never been in the Main Street Cinema - whet's with all the kids just laying around in there, taking naps and stuff? I referred to them as "vagabond children of Main Street." I dunno, it wasn't what I expected.

My daughter developed a fondness for the “Mickey cartoons” at a young age (she and I once rope-dropped and ended up with that as our first stop... I quit asking her what she wanted to do first after that.) I’ve been pleased by the benches but maybe they’ll remove them if they turn it into vagabond-land.
Ha! I love how only your nose and mouth are exposed. Nice coverage! The drenching at Splash caught us a bit off guard! I had a poncho on, but the person in front of me did not. She had to go back to the hotel to change. She could have rolled with a little wet, but this wet was a whole body splash. Not the experience of my youth.
Edited to add photo. I just realized I had one of that fateful ride. I’m in pink!
