Just got back last night from 11 nights at the CR tower. We had a great time. It did rain everyday, just for about an hour or less, except 1 day, it rained all day. CR is great, crowds were low and now we're looking to go again, cause we're all depressed about being back in reality.

Coming back to the real world does have it down side doesn't it? Glad you had a great trip even in the rain!

Coming back also has its upside. You can start planning for another trip!B That is what I do. I immedietely start another trip for 6 months later. It gives me something to look forward to again. I actually feel a little let down on the day I'm leaving for WDW. All of my planning is over then and that is just as much fun as the trip itself for me. :(

dg39,
Boy, do I know just how you feel! We just got back 2 weeks ago today, and somehow it seems like a dream, like we never went! Especially coming back to NJ! Glad you had a great trip!:):D:)

I wish I was depressed over being back from a WDW trip. We made a HUGE mistake this year. We decided to try a different vacation. We flew to Sacramento and rented a car. Drove through Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Sequioa National Forest. I thought we had been cursed by the mountain gods. Those winding roads and the endless mountains were horrendous. Then we went to Death Valley. We were then cursed by the desert gods. It was 120 degrees. Then we ended up in Las Vegas(which is my second favorite place) and had to spend a week hunting things to keep the kids busy. I don't care what anyone tells you. DON'T EVER take kids to Las Vegas. My husband and I love going but it was not fun with kids. When we got home we were super depressed because we didn't have a good time and our vacation was over AND we didn't get to see Mickey this year. We will NOT make this mistake again.
On the up side, I am now trying to put together a Feb. trip for our anniversary to WDW.:D

I agree completely! The only good thing about your Disney vacation being over is looking forward to your next Disney vacation;)

If you have time I hope you will post a trip report. We are going in Dec. and this will be our first time staying at the CR Tower. I would love to hear some details about your room, view, pools and how you found the transportation to be.

Glad you had a magical stay. Welcome back:)

We also tried a different vacation this year. We drove to South Dakota through the Badlands and saw Mount Rushmore and Deadwood and Custer State Park. It was so awesome! I am so glad we did it. It was not on the same luxurious level as WDW but it was educational and beautiful. It was a nice change to see other things this country has to offer. I do have to say that I really miss WDW. Going to there is an all out fun-till-you-drop fest while the sightseeing trip we took is more informative and makes you think a little more. I can't wait to go back to both places soon. I really want to go back to WDW later this year but we jsut purchased a new home that we close on this Friday and from now on it will be Disney on a BUDGET!!!!

P.S. This site is so great. You all are so nice . I go on other boards about other subjects and there is so much bickering and in fighting. This is just the friendliest place!

Yep, I know how everyone feels. I went June 21-25 and although it RAINED ALL 4 days, I still had a good time, and I will be going in Nov. for SSW which is in.....107 days!:bounce:

We can relate to the Disney Depression! But DH and I also think it is very important for our kids to see other parts of our country. On non-Dis. years we have been to San Antonio, S.C., Lake Michigan and this upcoming year San Diego. We always have fun on those vacations too but certainly you must go with different expectations than a Dis. vacation.

My Disney Depression will be big this year. It will be our last trip for a while. DD is going to be a senior in HS, and will probably be going to college then. One last splurge while we can as a family (DS will be turning 16 this trip), and then reality really hits with helping with college for the next 6 or so years. Ouch. Thats why want this one to be really, really good.

:bounce: I agree with the other posters is that when you get back you start planning your next trip. I think the planning and researching for the trip is almost as much fun as going there.

Planning our Disney trip for Thanksgiving is my way of curing cruise depression. Then, after the Disney trip I'll finish the scrapbooks, schedule our scuba certification and start planning the cruise. See the cycle I'm in? I'm not complaining. Maybe one of these days we'll combine them and take a Disney cruise.

Also been back about a week and a half and my Disney Depression is really kicking in big time, I'm at the point where if I see a Disnye comercial I get a big knot in my stomach and a sick feeling:(

MJames41 I know how you feel but this may make you feel better. I was sure last year was our last trip for your same reasons. Well we didn't take a trip this summer but DD and DS have a short break in October at the same time. DH (what a wonderful man) decided that we really do need to get a family trip it is as important as saving for education and retirement, we are going on a 5 day trip and we may be staying in the AS but the kids still want to go and so off we are. It is going to be very different October should be good weather. we have given up eating out and I am going to be wearing all the same clothes for another year but I would rather go to DW than have a new anything this year. Christmas is going to be a bit lite too but this is worthit I think. I really don't want or need any thing.

I know the feeling of depression! We leave in two weeks to go and I can already feel the sadness of leaving Disney to come home!! We too thought our last trip (Nov. 00) would be the last for a while, but we are going for 100 YOM. Even though oldest DS is 15, we will probably still plan every couple years, DD is only 4! I agree that children need to see and experience other areas /things, but Disney is one vacation that you can never do too many times.!!!:Pinkbounc
