Sounds like a great trip. I was wondering what your AK touring plan was? I hear the Safari is the thing to do first in the AM because thats when the animals are out but what did you do next. The first time my DW took me there I felt we did a lot of park criss crossing.
We got there at park opening and headed rightf or Everest. At that point, there were no lines. We grabbed a FP good for an hour or so. We then walked on 4 times then used our FP, though we probably didn't have to.
Then we went to the safari. Got a FP. Did the animal trail while we waited for our time. It was probably around 11 or so when we got on the safari. Lots of animals were about. The cheetah was no where to be seen and the lions were sleeping but that's been the case every time I've been on the safari.
We were in the first two seats on the car. It was pretty cool.

Saw a lot of the other animals. The hippos and rhinos were really active and an antelope looking critter crossed the road.
After the safari we were hungry so we went to Pizzafari just as it opened. We got to ring up our order and use the touch screen as the customer of the hour. I'm easily amused so I was mesmerized by how cool the touch screen is. We ate and then went to the Rafiki planet watch area. We were there for about an hour during which time we watched a bird show and then went to the pet zoo and the exibits inside.
After that we caught Flights of Wonder. That was the only sit down show we had planned on seeing because I love birds. We've seen the Lion King show numerous times so we'd planned on skipping that. After Flights of Wonder, we did the tiger trail. Then we got a FP for Dinosaur. We went on Primeval whirl and Triceratops spin (both were walk ons) while we waited. Turned out we really didn't need the fast pass, but we went on anyway with it. After Dinosaur we shopped a bit and had an ice cream. Best to eat the ice cream AFTER Dinosaur.
After that we did the Tough to be a Bug show. It was about parade time but we were okay with skipping it so we headed out before the crowds headed for the exit post parade. On the way out shopped some more and did the Discovery trails.

Had we seen Lion King or the Parade we probably just wouldn't have left as early as we did. I think we easily could have fit those in though.
