Just back, no waits! Any questions?

What is a dream fastpass?

A dream fast pass is a fast pass to every FP attraction in that park, good on that day. The one I got at MGM was good for one ride/show each at ToT, RnRC, Indiana Jones show, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Lights Motor Action, Star Tours. It was really neat!

We just got back last night and we were amazed how deserted it was, with the single exceptions of Friday (11/3) at Epcot which was a pm EMH so it wasn't surprising and it still wasn't *that* crowded and Sat (11/4) at MK which was about my max crowd tolerance level. It seemed like MK was having a bad day on Saturday - HM broke down 3 times while I was on it, Splash broke down just as I entered the FP return line and never came back up while we were there and I heard a lady yelling that she wanted her money back cos Space Mountain was also not operating ...

We got Dream FPs at MK on Wed, 11/1, but, when I tried to use mine for the first time at Space Mountain, the CM was, like, "Duuuuude, save that thing. A complete one is gonna be worth some money some day, there are no big waits on any of the FP rides today!" He was completely correct. So I have 4 unused Dream FPs - think they'll finance my retirement in about 25 years?!? :lmao:

Overnight on 11/1, the parks got all Christmas-y. It was downright strange, but I was a bit sad about missing a December trip for the first time in 3 years and this gave me the taste I needed.

Anyway, we all agreed this was a fabulous time of year to go.

Sounds like a great trip. I was wondering what your AK touring plan was? I hear the Safari is the thing to do first in the AM because thats when the animals are out but what did you do next. The first time my DW took me there I felt we did a lot of park criss crossing.

We got there at park opening and headed rightf or Everest. At that point, there were no lines. We grabbed a FP good for an hour or so. We then walked on 4 times then used our FP, though we probably didn't have to.

Then we went to the safari. Got a FP. Did the animal trail while we waited for our time. It was probably around 11 or so when we got on the safari. Lots of animals were about. The cheetah was no where to be seen and the lions were sleeping but that's been the case every time I've been on the safari.

We were in the first two seats on the car. It was pretty cool. :) Saw a lot of the other animals. The hippos and rhinos were really active and an antelope looking critter crossed the road.

After the safari we were hungry so we went to Pizzafari just as it opened. We got to ring up our order and use the touch screen as the customer of the hour. I'm easily amused so I was mesmerized by how cool the touch screen is. We ate and then went to the Rafiki planet watch area. We were there for about an hour during which time we watched a bird show and then went to the pet zoo and the exibits inside.

After that we caught Flights of Wonder. That was the only sit down show we had planned on seeing because I love birds. We've seen the Lion King show numerous times so we'd planned on skipping that. After Flights of Wonder, we did the tiger trail. Then we got a FP for Dinosaur. We went on Primeval whirl and Triceratops spin (both were walk ons) while we waited. Turned out we really didn't need the fast pass, but we went on anyway with it. After Dinosaur we shopped a bit and had an ice cream. Best to eat the ice cream AFTER Dinosaur. ;)

After that we did the Tough to be a Bug show. It was about parade time but we were okay with skipping it so we headed out before the crowds headed for the exit post parade. On the way out shopped some more and did the Discovery trails.

:) Had we seen Lion King or the Parade we probably just wouldn't have left as early as we did. I think we easily could have fit those in though.

Thanks for help. That looks like the best way. I think the crowd level will be slighty higher when we go so I will plan the fast passes accordingly.

Thank You :thumbsup2

What a great report and thank you for posting it, we were supposed to be there last week but for some insane reason I decided we should go over New Years just once (flights were an absolute bargain)

We will probably return this same week in a couple of years time as we were there the same week in 2002 and it coincides with dh's birthday and also a holiday over here in Ireland.

I was never sure if the quiet week we had in 2002 was just because numbers were down after 9/11.

Glad you had a magical trip, that view from your room looks great :)

Just curious as to which day you went to for each park since you had very low crowds.

Think I will plan my next trip for early November next year. Hope they don't run out of Dream Passes before then (I wonder which one they are on). ;)

We too were at WDW last week. I agree that for the most part it was very quite. FP's really were not required and all but a few times a day at a few rides it was walk on.

Having said that we were at MK this past SUnday and then AK Monday morning and it was crowded, even at opening. The line for Space Mountain was 45 minutes by noon and Everest was saying 30 minutes. While I agree this is not long compared to high season it is much different than the no lines we encountered most of the week.

We'll definately be sure to go this same week next week, now only if the weather cooperates like it did this year ... it could not have been nicer :cool1:

What dates were you all there with these low crowds?

10/29 through 11/5 for us. As I said 11/4 was quite busy at MK, otherwise it was great.

We also were there last week and echo what every one has said--lines were great, rode things twice with no problem, hardly needed fast passes....till Sat at MK. That was really crowded. Im glad others thought so too. And we had the same problems with Space and Splash down at the same time. Our last thing around 130 cause we wanted to get out of there because of the crowds, we split up--me to try Splash for first time, w/FP and DD and DH to go back to Space w/FP cause they love it best. We met back up on Main street-- and found out both rides were not working at the same time!! A big disappointment. I did meet Hugsforeeyore outside Splash. I was wearing my LG Dis shirt, and was getting out the 3 FP I had for Splash to give them to someone and she came up and said hello, so I gave them to her.
