Cast: Me (34 during trip), DH (33), D-bros (29), DM (62) and DD (2.5)
We are not picky eaters by any means!
50s Prime Time Diner: Everyone had a great meal! This is our 3rd trip here and it always is delicious! My chicken sandwich was a little dry with less topping this time, but was still good. The hot fudge sundae fro dessert was amazing! DB and DM always order the fish sandwich because they love it. DH and other DB ordered the turkey stacker and loved it. DD had the pasta and marinara sauce. I knew she would love it but not eat a lot, so it was a little spendy for $8 to have her only eat a little.
1900 Park Fare dinner: The character interaction with my DD was worth every penny! Cinderella is one of her fav movies and she was so excited to eat with all the characters! She was at the edge of her seat the whole time! I ate some prime rib, mashed potatos and green beans. They were tasty. I would not book this dinner unless I had a child who would love the character interaction. Too pricey for the too few food choices. But we were on the DDP so it was worth it this trip. I didn't try dessert as we celebrated my b-day with a Mickey head cake I ordered earlier.
Pecos Bills: Much improved! They have changed their offerings and we were very pleased! This has been our go-to CS since 2004. In the last 2 years we had not been happy with their offerings. We love the addition of the BBQ burger and the taco salad...which you add your own toppings at their fabulous toppings bar! Thanks Disney, you mad our fav our fav again!
'Ohana: This is my family's fav so I booked it again for them. I'm not much of a fan anymore since they nixed the potatos and some of the app offerings. But my fam loved it and the bread pudding is still out of this world. Lapoa's entertainment is always worth the trip too! We had drinks while waiting in the lobby and they were mighty fine! They made a great cosmo!
Biergarden: My dad is from Austria so I always look forward to this meal because it reminds me of my Oma's cooking! I had a full plate for this lunch and left a full and happy camper. Everyone had something they loved here and we all left full. All the offerings were fantastic. The spaezle was perfection! DD even was able to eat a lot here. Save room for desserts! The apple strudel and berry compote with vanilla sauce were HEAVEN!!!! YUM!!! I highly recommend this gem!
Beach Club Counter Service: Not so much...we were transferred to this hotel the morning of our arrival. I had planned on POFQ and their fantastic CS food offerings, but this place had almost nothing for quick service. The croissant sandwich for b-fast was very greasy and DH did not want it again. I did love the chocolate croissant pastry for b-fast...had it three days in a row! But we could not get much and this was disappointing being on the dining plan. All the ADRs were taken for the sit down places.
DDP was nice for the CS meals, but we don't need dessert with each meal, so too much dessert went to waste. Glad we could try some new ones mixed in with our favs! Next trip might just be grab and go CS so we don't have to be on a tight schedule.
