It was awesome. The kids really loved it. We started with dinner at LTT. We had a 4:30 PS and were seated right away. The waitresses were dressed really cool and so were the characters. The dinner was so good. The best meal of the trip. Then it was off the the rides. We walked right on Haunted Mansion and then we were sent over to Tommorland until 7:00 when the party started. The kids loved the trick or treating. The fireworks were awesome. We missed the first parade and were waiting for the second when it started to downpour. It stoped about 20 minutes later and they started the parade. We had a great spot after alot of people left due to the rain. The parade must of been cut down a little because of the rain. It was very short but it was good. All the rides were walk on. It was great. We did everything two or three times. I would highly recommend going.

We were with you every step of the way. Also had a 4:30 PS at LTT. Our table was right off the lobby which I was not to happy with at first but then loved the idea that I got to see everyones costumes as they came in. We also waited for the 10pm parade and really felt sorry for those who sat on the curb for awhile. My only regret is that I did not get to see the headless horseman.

They were giving out way more candy this year compared to last year also.

I was very disappointed about the headless horseman too. I really wanted to see it. Do you think the parade was cut short. It seemed to be short. But we had an awesome time.

We were there too!!! We had 5:15 ressies at LTT and watched the first parade at 8:15...I think that was the time...that was such a great parade and the evening overall was one of the best experiences we have had at WDW. The kids had a blast and so did we!! LTT was fantastic...everything was fantastic!

Doesn't it stink to be home?

My DH said that Disney Therapy needs to be given to all departing guests...I vacuumed with my mouse ears on yesterday !

Are you planning another visit?

My DH wants to wait two years. This was our third trip this year so he is disneyed out. I don't understand him. We are doing the Disney Cruise in January so I will work on him after that.

We saw the normal parade at the 10/08 party. The first half was "scary" and the second part was more farm/harvest/hoedown style. It was cute but kind of disjointed to me. Maybe you only saw half? Sounds like the rain kept folks away. We rode most rides with short to moderate waits, but certainly not multiple times. It was very crowded when we were there. I hate being home, next trip for us will be Christmas 05:( ....a looong wait.

Where does the parade start and finish? Does it start and finish both times from the same dirextion?

Thanks
Scott

I also thought the parade was cut short. I know that the guys dragging the shovels were not in the second parade.

Scott- the parade starts near Splash Mountain and goes to City Hall and then reverses direction for the second parade.

Although they could have cut the parade short due to the rain, the Halloween parade is probably the shortest of all Disney parades.

Actually they both Start on Main Street (by City Hall) and end in Frontierland (by Spalsh Mountain). They do not reverse direction, both parades run the same way, just like Spectro Magic :) The only time you will ever see a night time parade run from Spalsh to City Hall is if they are filming and they want the castle in the background. Otherwise Day parades start at Splash and end at City Hall and Night time parades start at City Hall and end at Splash (this way it does not cause congestion at the exit of the park as the parade ends).

We were at the LTT at 415 on the 12th. If anyone remembers a 2 yo girl who would cry and scream when the characters came near, that was us! I loved the LTT and would eat there again!

We enjoyed MNSSHP on the 12th also. Talking next time about buying 2 nites of the party!

We ended on a spooky note.....got stuck in Splash Mountain right under the buzzards before the splash at 11:40 and didn't get out until after midnight!

I absolutely LOVE the halloween parade. I had asked a CM the same direction question about the parade. He explained what libertybelle did. It is actually something I didn't know.

Sounds like everyone is really enjoying MNSSHP!!

Just got back Saturday night and was also at LTT on the 12th @ 6:00pm. We were a family of four dressed as the mouseketeers. This was our first MNSSHP and LOVED it. I had friends that went on the 14th and said it was a lot more crowded than the 12th. I'm sad to report that I'm already planning a quick weekend in November for my DD's 12th b'day.:p Not going to tell her and just pick her up from school and start driving. Can't wait to go back and haven't even finished unpacking from this trip.lol

Just wanted to say that at the 3 MVMCP and 1 MNSSHP I've been to, I've always went to the second parade and all four times the parade came from City Hall toward Frontierland...and I always also thought the first parade of the party went in one direction (from Frontierland) and the second paraede went in the opposite direction (from City Hall).

I think I thought that because when I read people talk about the first parade, I thought they said it started in Frontierland.

When there are two parades, how do they get the parade back to the same starting point??? I guess I thought they just started the second parade where they ended the first parade.

I love this website because we learn something new every single day!::yes::

Thanks Libertybelle and sorry for the wrong info Scott. I also thought they reversed directions. Just when you think you know Disney...you learn something new.
