Just back-left Pop and went to Wilderness Lodge!

Also just back from a 9 day trip, we checked into POP around 12, my room (shared with mom) wasnt ready yet, but my brother's (and family) room was ready, from the moment we were dropped off by ME, I could see it in my mothers face that this was not her idea of Disney (she is used to Deluxe and CBR).
She checked in, to my surprise, and we went to grab a bite to eat, nice food court btw, and went to my brothers room, thats when she said never again, call the travel agent we are leaving :confused3
She hated it and we ended up at CBR, it ended up being a very nice vacation but as my mom said, we wont be staying at a value again, even if it means fewer trips a year!!
But I see everyones point about not staying in your room much, we stay in our rooms, pools, ect. alot more than the average person I guess.

Just Returned 10/1 And Stayed In The 60's Building With A View Of The Pool. I Did Not Have One Problem With This Resort And Would Recommend This Resort To Anyone.

I am glad the rest of your trip was grand at Wl. As a solo traveler i have stayed mostly at the value resorts because i liked the color schemes or layout of the All stars and the Pop. I stayed at Comtemporary and Poly once
and now thinking of staying at one of the other grand hotels like Akl or something.

To the OP just for clarification -

You had 2 rooms at POP for your family of 3 people? If this is true then you obviously value your space, because most families staying at POP with 3 people would have used 1 room. (yes I know I am generalizing and shame on me). How did you decide on 2 rooms at POP over 1 room at at deluxe?

Glad you were able to make something good happen for your trip at WL.

When my DS was a toddler, he couldn't sleep in the same room with us. He'd just stand there in the port-a-crib and stare at us and cry. We did a couple of trips to different hotels and had to get adjoining rooms and the 2 year old got his own room!

I just don't understand why the bus queues at Pop and the Allstars aren't covered? I remember sweltering in the heat at the Allstars for a few mornings which made the already long waits for buses seem even longer. It would seem like a no-brainer to cover those areas.
