We just got back yesterday. (boo, hoo). Here are some of the observations I made. I usually go in the slow season and was quite shocked of the crowds. Stupid me, didn't realize this was spring break. In upstate New York spring break starts in April.
Anyway, the campground was booked solid. We tried to get in a day early and NO WAY!! I called three different times hoping for a cancellation. Like I said NO WAY!! We checked in no problem and had a great site!! The guy next to us pulled in and had 3 different campers with his site. My mom came 3 days later and when they went to the site assigned to them there was somebody setting up already. They had to drive back and get a different site. As usual Fort Wilderness was beautiful.
It was a great time except for the crowds. We went to Disney on Monday and the crowd was HUGE!!! We used fast passes but in Frontierland you could hardly move. A massive amount of people! You could lose children in that crowd. For the next couple of days we decided to stay at the campground.
I can't believe some people. There were 2 separate incidents that happened. 1) At the Meadowlands pool somebody (I dont know how to say this nicely) did a #2 in the pool.
2) We were waiting to go to the Trails end buffet one night and we were sitting on the porch in our rockers (love that) and this lady next to us told us that this girl about 11 years old was holding an infant (no parents around) and this man was sitting there and must of commented on the baby and she said "do you want to hold her" and gave the baby to the man and ran off. I had noticed this man standing in front of crockets tavern trying to rock this baby. When our reservations were ready the man was gone. Unbelievable.
Overall, a great trip. Any trip to disney is great but I think I'll stick to the non-busy times.
P.S. If you didnt' have reseravations for a golf cart.. they were all gone. They had a sign saying that.
