Weather a bit grotty but had a fabuloso time!!! wish I was still there!

Lows where the weather and the kids arguing!! and being booked in the wrong hotel, and leaving a pair of brand new trainers at the hotel and not realising till at the airport!!

Highs where Epcot fireworks with added 4 minutes for christmas, Osbourne Lights, The talking Crush at Epcot and seeing Hot Hot Heat in concert at HOB. Went to St Augustine too, that was fab!!

Hello Kerry

Welcome home, hope you had a brill time! i am going with my family next wednesday and the only concern we have is the weather!!! was it really bad, if so why? rain? cold? what sort of clothes did you have to wear?

thanks
Sharon

Hi

Welcome Home.

We came back last week and I agree the weather was not great.

Drennan- The weather was either raining for long periods of time or lovely sunshine but no humidity so very cool. We took loads of shorts etc but ended up wearing jeans and jumpers especially in the evenings. There were about 3 days that we wore the shorts!

Cheers for that, not very promising though is it  I was hoping the weather would be the same as when we went in February one year when we managed to wear shorts for most of the entire holiday, i'm starting to pack tonight so that should be fun :teeth:

Welcome home!!

We did not have brilliant weather this time last year either.

Welcome back :sunny: Did you get your hotel sorted out?

Yes thanks Strommie!! WE booked the Homewood Suites Universal and rang to double check it was the right one we'd booked for because there's another Homewood Suites at Pointe Orlando. We were told yes yes stop flapping kind of thing!!! Lo and behold got to the Universal hotel and no booking for us, we had been booked in the other suites!! There were no spare rooms at Universal suites so we had no option but to stay at Pointe Orlando. The hotel was fantastic though, couldn't fault it at all, especially the free managers reception on Mon-Thu!! Free beer and wine always tastes better!!

The weather seems to be changing more and more, becoming less predictable.

I know when we were there in March most mornings it was not that warm at all, and there were a few days where it rained all day (something I have never seen in Florida before).

Its crazy Johnny, we went exactly the same time last year and the weather was glorious!!

Yes the average temp is mid 80s - but people were buying fleece tops and allsorts at the parks, wife and son included...I am a northern lad though and wore my shorts.....I was cold , especially as Joshua insisted on going on Popeye's Barges at IOA :)

That's good, we have stayed at both and actually preferred the one at Pointe Orlando :goodvibes

We went on Popeye's barges, I have never been so wet out of the bath/shower in my life!!! And it wasn't a particularly hot day either and I was soggy for hours and hours!!

Hi Kerry,

DH and i came home on Monday and i agree, my face was tripping me when i got off the plane and saw all the clouds and i felt really cold our 1st night. We spent the 1st half of our trip down in Naples, but not really beach weather. Our last week in Orlando was better tho and it was just lovely by the time we left last Sunday. Did you go on Soarin - wasn't it a great ride?
