We had a great 5 day trip. The renovations to the HRH are very nice. This was our third stay and as always I love the feel of the place, the music in the elevators, the pool, and how close it is to the parks. I thought a few things were a bit off. We never got our loews first gift despite the front desk clerk confirming my choice. We did not get our paper one day and it took 3 hours to get hyperallergenic pillows. (Even with the pillows i don't think i can ever stay at this hotel because i am allergic to something in the new rooms!). We really liked the Kitchen's buffet breakfast but we did not enjoy our dinner at all. One of the worse steaks i have ever had and the calamari was barely fried! We did eat at The Palm and had an excellent meal!! All in all we had fun but we realized that there was not one new thing at the parks for us (last trip was 2004 and fear factor was closed all week). We will go back but are going to give it at least 5 years and probably stay at RPR. The RPR looked beautiful and Emeril's Chop Chop was awesome.

Did you get to ride the Suess Trolley? I think that should be new since your last time. Although it would hardly count as anything major.

I stand correct the trolley was new! It did not do a whole lot for my seven year old son, but he did still loved one fish two fish, spiderman, MIB and jimmy neutron and the jurassic park river adventure! Some of these were new to him as he was not tall or brave enough before! DH and I loved MIB, The Mummy, spiderman, the dueling dragons and jurassic park! In all, i still think US and IOA have great rides - i think i am just themed parked out for a little while.

Are all the room renovations complete? We leave a week from today, and this will be our first visit, I think the pictures of the new rooms look awesome, and hope to have one of the renovated rooms.

Also, are the pools heated? We were at WDW last Thanksgiving and it was pretty chilly, you couldn't swim if the pool wasn't heated.

The desk clerk told me that all rooms were renovated. They are really nice. I loved the chair and ottoman - stylish and very comfortable place to put your feet up and read a book. The flat screen TV's add a "cool" factor.

The pool is heated and was warm even when the air was a bit nippy. There are also several hot tops. We had no problem in the pool, it was getting out that was cold!!

Thank you for the quick info, now I won't have to worry that we won't get a renovated room, and we should be able to swim!

You won't be able to swim - the pool is just one enormous paddling pool as it's so shallow!

HRH pool has two 4 ft swim areas - both by the slide (tough to land in 6 inches of water off a water slide) and on opposite side by the towel stand. These areas are adequate for swimming. You just cant jump in. Pool is hardly a paddling pool.

We had no problems swimming. And my kids are all involved with swim teams, so would have been very disappointed if they could only paddle.

I have missed these pictures and did not find the link when I searched the other day. Any one care to post again? Any pictures of a renovated King Suite?

Thanks

I agree it was much the same for us last week. We did get our lowes welcome gift but it was not what we requested, our first room was not clean, as in beds not even made, we didn't get a paper one day and they charged our credit card double what they should have. Rehab looks good, though there is a smell from the new rugs. will I stay there again? Yes, probably b/c it is a cool hotel with a great location, we will pay in cash however.
