just back - hot and crowded!

We were also there last week. Did Epcot on Sun. the 23rd and crowds weren't bad, MGM on Mon and still not bad at all, stayed for Fantasmic and was glad we went to get seats 1 hr before show because it was already almost filled up. Waited til Wed. for MK since Spectro was on Tues. It was PACKED and hot, we stayed 3 hours and decided to leave and come back later after swimming but never made it back.

To us a big part of going to DW is feeling the magic, the experience of Disney. If it is hot, so what! If it is crowded, so what! As a matter of fact, since we usually accomplish less than we planned, it gives us a reason to go back! There are always pluses and minuses to the season that you choose to take your family to DW, the only minus is not to go at all. Think about all of the people that can't afford to take their family to DW. Kind of puts the whole thing in perspective.

Sorry to hear about the heat and crowds.

However don't write off May as a good time to visit WDW.

You just timed it a week too late.

I have been there in mid-may the last 2 years. (This year May 15th-22nd)
The weather was great 85-90 no humidity, and the parks not crowded (Except for MK Tues. night during Spectromagic.)

Plan to go where you will be leaving a week BEFORE Memorial Day and you will be fine.

We were there the 21st through the 26th and toured as Mic_Key_Mouse suggested. We got tons of attractions in and only had a couple of long waits (our own fault). We did the Early entry park and then would go back to the resort and/or hop somewhere else for the afternoon/evenings. See our trip reports : Family reward trip....

We had a great time. MK WAS crowded on the 23rd!

We're getting ready to sweat this weekend, picked up some of those mister fans at the dollar store (having a tough time finding them anywhere else!!)

I must add that you can never be sure about the weather in FL...we were in WDW late April to early May in 2003 and it was pretty nice but we did get some rain.

ANd we were there the same EXACT time the previous year (2002) (1st wk of May) and it was record heat!!...just like the past week-it was in the mid to upper 90s and not a drop of rain in EARLY MAY, so don't be disappointed if you go during a time when you expect it to be comfortable and suddenly a heatwave sweeps through (although this is unusual, it happens) Just be prepared

we still had a great time, even with the crowds and heat. Everyone was nice and friendly, the pools were great and NO WORK! I would go back in a minute of course
