Well, we just returned today from my older son's wish trip. We stayed at Give Kids the World, which was magical enough. But, we had so many magical moments, some official and some unofficial.
We saw the Dream Squad 3 times, but never saw what they were giving away. There were lots of people with ears and fastpasses around later, though.
Our first park was Animal Kingdom, and we rode the safari 1st thing. My 9 year old ds was chosen to be a game spotter for the ride and both boys received really neat certificates.
On Friday, Mikey (DS 9) found a paintbrush on Tom Sawyer Island. Since Cody (ds 16)'s GKTW button functioned as a fastpass, the cm gave us a card for free popcorn and soda.
The most awesome moment came on Wednesday. Cody had a seizure first thing in the am, and was going to miss the Disney character Meet at the village. I took Mikey to get his picture made, and the manager on duty told me to go back to our villa and wait. A little while later, Belle, Mickey and Minnie showed up at our villa and came in to meet Cody. We were able to take a bunch of pictures. Then, after M/M left, Belle came back with Pluto and Goofy. More pictures, etc. Pluto jumped on the boys' beds, etc. Belle presented us with a page of paper containing the autographs of every major park character.
What an amazing 1st trip for my boys. It couldn't have been any more magical.
