Hi,
Well thats me back from our first dream family holiday. 9 nights at OKW followed by 8 nights at a villa offsite. I may do a trip report but wanted to share some highs
1. Everything!! Just being there after 2 years planning and saving! It was a dream come true.
2. Seeing the new Fantasyland for a preview and doing Enchanted Tales with Belle. My DD2 was picked to be the beast and got to dance with Belle. It was lovely.
3. OKW was just beautiful and we really enjoyed staying there.
4. MNSSHP. We had such a laugh dressing up and the parade and fireworks were amazing.
5. All the staff at Disney
6. BBB and eating in the castle.
7. The weather was amazing. 85 every day and no rain apart from last 3 days when Sandy was off coast.
8. Just taking my girls and seeing them have such a good time. They also both loved Seaworld.

The only lows were that our plane on the way out was delayed 4 hours from Gatwick. We had flown down from Edinburgh and landed at Gatwick at 9am but then had to wait until 4.30 to fly out which made it a long day and a late arrival at Tampa with the a drive up the road to Orlando. But this cannot be helped. Also I am not a great flyer and the trip home was bumpy again due to Sandy, but we made it.
I am so sad for it to be over and hope that we can go again some day in the not too distant future.

I'd really like to hear details about OKW. DH and I are leaving a week from Saturday. This will be our first time staying there. What building did you stay in?

Wow sounds like one amazing holiday always over too quickly though!

I hope you do a TR I would love to read it x

welcome home :)

glad you all had a wonderful time :goodvibes

we stayed in a 2 bed villa at okw in 2010- it was fantastic :cool1:

Thanks Everyone,
Rhonda we stayed in building 34 in the Turtle Pond Area. We had a quiet pool a minutes walk away and the main pool and hospitality house about 5-10 mins away. We used and liked both. It is handy being able to park your car right outside your building. It is a very peaceful and beautiful resort. You can get the boat to DownTown Disney which we really enjoyed doing. The resort is very spread out but it didn't bother us as we had the car. When we checked in the CM did tell us that a couple of the buildings have quite bad traffic noise, one he mentioned was building 44 as the buses circle the roundabout right outside. It is probably best to look at a map to rule out where you wouldn't like to be. Obviously they are just requests but they will do their best to accommodate you if they can. We were in a studio and found it to be spacious with all we needed. Really loved it and would definitely go back. Any other questions just ask, otherwise have a great time, I am so jealous!!

Oh okay, thanks for the information. I wouldn't have even realized that about building 44. Great inside tip! Yes, I do have a map and will definitely take a good look at it before putting in my request.

Welcome home

Sounds like you had a wonderful trip!!! Time to start saving for another one :rotfl2:
