We called the Beach Club home from Dec 7-14. We truly loved the Beach Club! We have stayed at Caribbean Beach (loved), Port Orleans & The Poly...I think we will be going back to the Beach Club! Being able to walk to Epcot & DHS was awesome!! Also-I am a runner...and running the trail to DHS & then the loop around the bay was amazing!! :goodvibes

The pool at Beach Club...fabulous! Even with some construstion going on...loved our pool day!!

Beaches & Cream...we ate the kitchen sink for lunch one day. Very fun! This family of 5...finished it!! I had a tummy ache to follow :rotfl:

BEST burger & nachos is Disney....BIG RIVER GRILL & BREWERY!! (at boardwalk) Seriously this was the best burger and nachos I've ever had!! I just wish I could have ate more....tummy ache from lunch. ;)

We still think that Donald's bkfst at Tusker House is the very best. And Neil our waiter....AWESOME!! I really can't say enough on how fantastic he was!

We did not do the dining plan this time...kids are 13, 10 & 7. So with 4 adult pricing it was going to be 1500.00 for the week! :headache: We wanted the 30% off hotel vs the free dining. I haven't totaled my dining receipts...but total with food, souvies, drinks, 3 kids at Pirates League, 3 sit down resturants (including chef mickeys) we spend 1300.00.

Fantasmic package a must...even if Hollywood & Vine isn't the greatest. Food was ok...our waiter was just different. Also, didn't do his job very well to say the least.

Chef Mickeys...food is good, characters are wonderful...price:eek:....not worth it to me in the future. Maybe bkfst would be better? Also-getting to a resort from another resort is incredibly time consuming! From a park would have been easier. We wanted to change before dining...and it was going to rain.

Fantasyland....OMGosh!! Beyond wonderful!! We arrived early at MK and did all of fantasy land including character greetings & playing at Dumbo in 1 hour!! Character costumes are wonderful!! Loved them! Ariels ride is a.m.a.z.i.n.g!! We rode it twice...my boys even loved it! My husband thought it was so cool. :goodvibes Be Our Guest resturant beautiful! You can check it out even if not eating there. I can't wait until it is all done! I do have to say...I will always miss Mickey's house...help special memories for me.:(

DHS let us in at 843am on our morning there! We were able to casually get fp for TSM and ride it with a 10 min wait:lovestruc

Not sure if it was a mix-up or what. But-after the afternoon parade about 75 people came to BTMRR with fp's and wanted to ride. Thank goodness we got into the standby que just before the parade was over. Not sure how that happened...or if everyone the had a fp just waited until after the parade and met the window for their fp. :rolleyes1

If it rains...the pool is a great options..you're already wet. :rotfl:
As long as no lightning. Or just through on your poncho and keep going! Most of Disney's rides are inside! Especially at DHS & Epcot! Crowds seem to clear out and lines shorten! Test track 10 min wait on a 'drizzly' evening!

MVMCP-Have done it every year we are at Disney...and I still think it is worth it.:thumbsup2 My kids aren't really much into character greetings. We get them at our bkfst/dinners, which is enough for them. All rides are walk-on's...the castle show-fireworks in unbelieveable...and the parade is fabulous!! No crowds to fight. :cool2:

LOVED not having to dining plan...and if we have it in the future, I hope to be smarter about it! :lmao: It seemed more relaxed to only have a few resv. we had to be at. We didn't feel we needed to eat dessert...snacks...food when we weren't hungry just because we needed to use our credits. I only gained 5 pounds vs 9 pounds (at last trip)!! :thumbsup2

We ordered in from garden grocer...my husband is a diet mtn dew addict. We ate bkfst in the room every moring but one. Also had a few lunches & snacks in the room....and carried small snacks with. Crystal light or other drink packets work great!! Just saved a water bottle...filled at a drinking fountain and added the packet. Saved money on bottled water!

My opinion on "best food" in Disney from this trip. We tried a few new items on this trip....I still have my favorites...dole whip, bread pudding, mickey waffles, etc.

Buger/nachos: already mentioned above-Big River at Boardwalk.

Cupcakes: Starring Rolls...could have ate one every day!!

Ice Cream: Beaches n Cream

Sandwiches: Earl of Sandwich family of 5...5 sandwiches (one free for bday coupon & one kids sand.) 2 large drinks and 3 bags of chips 28.00.

Snacks: Main Street Bakery...cookie sandwich & giant cinnamon rolls---yummy!! I also have to say I fell in LOVE with churros on this trip:cloud9:

Food & Drinks "around the world": Ham & cheese & grey goose France, Quick svc Morocco, School bread & sweet pretzel Norway, Pretzel Germany (wanted to try the brat-looked so good...was too full), Fiesta Margarita Mexico!!

Not having the dining plan I thought I might feel as though I was 'skimping or not getting enough' so not the case!! We still ate plenty!!

Test Track.....SO COOL!!! We did it once and wished we could have done it more!! Good job Disney!!

New Pirates experience at DHS...again-fantastic! :woohoo:

Photopass + loved having it! I didn't get all the ride photos...but probably 85%. If the line was too long...I would skip it. Also great to get bkfst/diner photos.

One tip for autographs. My kids have 3 autograph books. I did pack the one from the last trip. They never even took them out! I have heard that characters will sign anything...except if you are wearing it. So-I bought footballs for my boys from Walmart. We brought a silver sharpie and that is what they signed. It was great!! So much interaction with characters with the football!! Especially Minnie!! We received lots of compliments on it. My boys have them already displayed in their rooms and love them. It was a really fun way to get autographs and they are not just in a book on a shelf! :thumbsup2

Few packing tips..which I am sure have been mentioned before. ;) I packed everyone's "last chance" undies and socks. Tossed when done using. I also did the same with jammies-toss at end of trip. I brought my "crummy" workout tops, bras and again-tossed. I didn't have any 'tossable' running shorts, but they don't take up much room. ;) I also packed a cheap toaster we had so I didn't have to walk to toast a waffle. Glad I did-we were the farthest room from the lobby...but Epcot was a 3 min walk! Left the toaster! I packed a bag within a bag so I could fill it for the return trip. We used space bags for about 1/2 of our clothes. I bring all of my nearly empty products. If you have longer hair don't bother with a blow dryer-flat iron, curling iron. If your hair is even slightly prone to frizz no products will help when it is 100% humidity!! Just put your hair up and go! :)

I absolutely love Disney customer service...it is just the best! It is what keeps me going back...and that I love Mickey!:lovestruc

On the last day...it never feels like you have had enough days! :guilty:

If you have any quetions let me know...I would be happy to try and answer them! popcorn::

Great review! So nice to hear so much positive. Love the packing tips, we are flying for the first time on our next trip and I am a serious over packer. I'm going to save these tips!

There are probably 750-1000 fastpasses given out per hour for BTMRR, so it's not a huge surprise to see 75 people getting into line at once. That's five minutes worth of fastpasses. It stands to reason that those given out around the time of the parade would all happen to arrive closer in time to each other.

Sounds like a fun trip!

If I have to go hotel to hotel & don't have a car, I take a cab if I am pressed for time. If I'm not pressed for time, then I just enjoy the transportation as it is.

For Chef Mickey's (in the Contemporary right?) I would take the bus to the MK & then walk to the Contemporary...it's only about 5-10 miinute walk at a leisurely pace....very easy.

Sounded like a great trip!

But....I had to laugh at the "last chance" undies and socks - first thing that popped into my head was what would have happened had you gotten into an accident, lol! :rotfl2:

I can hear my Granny's voice in my head now "always wear clean undies in case your in an accident". :rotfl2::rotfl2:
