Just back-Here's some FAQ's!!

it's just your right hand. we got off the monorail at 9:15 today, and the lines at the gates were the worst I've ever seen them. and this is the off-season. it took us 15 minutes just to get through the gates.

Just wanted to make sure. I guess in May that DH will have to scan. He will be the only one with the MYW ticket.
Thanks! :flower:

We came back Sat from a whole week at Disney and yes, the magic your way ticket scan did slow things up, but not too much. perhaps an extra 3 seconds per person. The first time is a bit tricky but once you get the hang of it, its easy as pie. Never had it fail once for me or DH. The kids didnt have to do it. Anyone under 10 does not have to do it. The signs outside the turnstiles explain that they don't need to. So don't worry about the kids having to do it. As long as you put your fingers in tight to the nubs and curl your tips a little around the edge there are no problems at all. And the scan is just for APs and Magic your way tickets. If you bought tickets prior to Jan 2 (old park hoppers) then you do not need to do this.

By the time we get there, I will have been waiting about 500 days since my last trip, so an extra few seconds isn't going to kill me. I'll just stand there and soak in the Disney atmosphere while I wait. :teeth:

We just returned as well and had a completley different experience. We did MK on Thursday the 3rd and it wasn't crowded at all. The Carosel of Progress was open for us, we went on it. Never ran into any cheerleaders, or dance teams either except we saw a small group of them on the monorail one day. MGM on 1/31 was the most crowded park we saw and even that wasn't very crowded.

We never experience long lines to get into the parks either. I guess we were just a different parks, different days or something. We avoided the early entry or extra magic hour parks and everything was a walk on for us.

What about disabled people who don't have a right arm? Will my bf (who fits into this category) be able to use his left hand? Or will they just not make him do it?

We went to the MK on Saturday. I do not think it took us any longer to get in the gate. Everyone was piled up at the center gates and the gates on the ends were practically empty.

Can you explain what the deal is with the finger pass thing? How does it work? and does it pertain if we are getting our passes prior to arriving? We like to get to the parks about 30 minutes early to avoid the crowds--should we go even earlier?
