A few thoughts about my trip last week. After all the negative comments I'd read prior to going on my trip, I was concerned, but I had a wonderful experience. I don't usually do trip reports, but thought it might be nice to have some positive posts here.

I arrived Tuesday, October 21, and left on Sunday, October 26, staying at All Stars Music. I was traveling solo, but meeting friends there, so I had time in the parks on my own and with friends. I have to say, I never felt uncomfortable being alone; quite the contrary, I enjoyed being able to do what I wanted, when I wanted.

First off, the bus service was incredible. Only three times, did I share a bus with the other all Star resorts. All but once my wait time was 5 minutes are less. And that one time I had just missed the bus and the wait was 10-15 minutes. The transportation staff was always friendly and helpful, and they made sure the buses were being directed to where they were most needed. If there was a long line, as one bus would fill up and leave, another bus would pull in and start loading. I was impressed with the efficiency of the bus service.

The resort was very clean and had friendly and helpful staff. My room was in very good condition and I got my one request of being on the top floor. I was in the rock and roll section, near the quiet pool.

The parks were quite crowded, more so than I would have liked. There were a lot of international visitors, as I heard a lot of foreign languages and accents. But I was able to do all the rides I wanted to, and while I did fast pass the ones that were most important to me, the standby lines on the rides either had accurate wait times or in most cases went quicker than posted times. However, I don't do the mountains which are the more popular rides , (I'm a ride chicken to be honest!). Most people were well behaved. I saw tired children, and tired adults, but I did not let that interfere with my enjoyment. I found the castmembers in general to be friendly; I never encountered a flat out rude castmember.

I had 4 planned meals. Be Our Guest lunch, and then Via Napoli, Flying Fish and Cinderella's Royal Table all for dinner. Food was excellent at each location, and the servers attentive and welcoming.

Overall, I have to say doing WDW, attitude rules the day. If you go in with a positive attitude, and are just pleasant to others, then you should have a wonderful time.

If you have any questions, please ask.

Awesome report!! Was done there the same time.

I also found the bus service from the All Stars hotels to be great!! Never a long wait at all!

I have to agree that attitude plays such an HUGE part in the Disney experience!

Totally agree with this. Thanks for the upbeat review!

It has been made clear from reading this board that having a good trip is not possible any more so clearly you work for Disney and are lying. You should feel terrible.

Or not. I'm glad you had a good trip.

How dare you have a good attitude and report of a great trip:) It's really nice to hear the positives. I don't mind hearing the negatives too as they can help prepare.

Happy for you to have such a nice trip!!! Hope ours is as nice in less than a month:)

Glad your trip went well - thanks for the report!

Do you know what your crowd levels were like during your week? Meaning was it low/moderate/high or 1-10 on some web site scales? I have been at the All Stars before and found the bus service spotty and nearly always shared with other All-Stars (buses came relatively frequent, but were often half full or better already) I wondered if crowd level was the difference or if they've simply improved.

To me, attitude and expectations are what make a Disney trip. Bad attitudes and unrealistic expectations will make your trip unenjoyable. Dont' sweat the small stuff (it's all small stuff). How bad can it be? You're at Disney World!

YAY!!! So glad to read your happy report. I have been trying to ignore all the negative reports before going on our first trip in a few weeks. I am going in with a positive attitude and low/no expectations (since we haven't been as a family before) so hopefully we will have a great experience too. :cool1:

I know before I left on the free easy wdw it showed crowds of 5-6. And it could have been at that level, i'm not sure. I can tell you that it 4-5 deep easily on Wed for the festival of fantasy parade and that Sat evening the crowds were at least 8-10 deep for the first MSEP. Originally the park was supposed to close at 10 on Sat, but a week or so earlier WDW changed the hours and it was open until midnight, before the evening extra hours for resort guests. It didn't stop me from doing what I wanted, but it did mean longer waits on some rides. This was my second time staying at ASMu and I didn't share buses on the previous trip. Crowds could have something to do with it, but I was really impressed by the response to the bus lines; not just for the All Stars but other resorts as well, that if there was a long line, suddenly there were multiple buses to handle those lines and get the people moving.

Wow this is nice to hear. I understand the complaints people have about various things lately, I really do. But when you are getting ready for a trip (36 days to go!) it can be disheartening. I was really having trouble finding any positive recent posts. Again, I absolutely think some are justified complaints. It's just that life is crazy right now, and it's been a long long year since our last vacation and I just want to relax and have fun. A post like this makes me see it's still possible.:)
