We just returned from a wonderful trip to the world. My husband and I were very lucky to be able to take a couple's only trip for 8 days. We wore our anniversary buttons and were treated to some great little treats. We stayed at Riverside and the stay was perfect. The buses were excellent. We did many extra's, the Star Wars dessert party, EMM at both Hollywood and Magic Kingdom and had our first dining experience at California Grill(the dinner was amazing)! We took advantage of late hours at MK and managed to stay until 2 Am. The crowds were definitely less then what I expected we usually travel in September. We never waited more than 25 minutes for a ride and we only waited that long for 7D. The weather was hot, but I fully expected that and we managed with breaks in the afternoon. Also took advantage of the bounce back and taking a family vacation in june. Any questions, ask away.

Wow! Im going in 19 days for a couple-only 25th anniversary, also at Riverside, also doing dessert party. Glad to hear you had a great trip! What was your fave memory?

What did you think of EMM at the MK? We are looking forward to doing EMM at the MK and the Star Wars dessert party. The CG is amazing!

I think my favorite memory was our dinner at California grill. They decorated our table with little Mickey confetti, the meal and dessert was amazing, and gave us champagne with our dessert. Then we went to the observation deck for wishes. It was a wonderful night.

We liked both. For the EMM at MK we rode 7D 7 times, pooh 2 times, Peter Pan 3 times. The breakfast was fine. I actually like the Hollywood breakfast better but the one at MK was fine. We also were able to get pictures on Main Street with practically no people in our photos. I was happy we did it but don't know if I actually need to do it again. The Star Wars party was good as well. All the desserts were very good and the viewing sections was good. I really did this for hubby as I don't really follow Star Wars and he loved the fireworks he said the show was fantastic. Hope that helps.

Thanks for sharing! So glad you had a great trip. POR is my favorite resort! I have been staying there since 2007, and each visit is better than the last. We are going in a few weeks and I booked the EMM at MK on 9/6, and I'm very excited for it and something I am looking forward to doing just once.

Welcome home. Happy 25th Anniversary too!

Sounds like you had a great time. Thanks for posting about it. :)

That is great news! Keep it going. You don't have to wait another 25 years.

Us too in 24 days. Now If I can just remember to fax my AB request.

So, what exactly were the dates you were there? Surprised to hear that the waits were so short this time of the year.

We are going in a few days just the wife and I. Leaving 2 yo daughter behind with grandma and grandpa. We plan on going on all the roller coasters and avoiding all the "baby" rides we typically do. Will go to the parks in the evening to avoid the sun and will stay late. Will sleep in and get plenty of rest. No reservations and plan to wing it.

Glad you had a great trip! Sounds amazing.

What did you think of EMM at HS? I have it booked for our trip at the end of August. Did you feel like there were enough things to do? I'm totally sold on the EMM at MK, but waffling on the HS Early Morning Magic. How were the lines for the character meets?

We're going next month and have reservations for dinner at Cali Grill (and more importantly, a sitter for the kids) on our anniversary. I can't wait. Did you have to notify them in advance that it was your anniversary, or just tell them when you arrived? I'd love to surprise DH!
