Not a full blown trip report but wanted to share a few things from my wonderful trip last week!
-first time on DDP...WAY too much food! But we enjoyed ourselves!
-saw a few international tour groups and they got a little rowdy a couple of times but nothing terrible...we just went the opposite direction of them whenever we saw them.
-met some wonderful people while pin trading, but I agree that most of the Cast Member pins were sad. Found our best ones on other guests.
-crowds were very manageable. Longest standby wait was about 15 minutes, but did wait about 30 minutes in FP line for Test Track (due to a temporary shut down).
-FP+ was fine. Understand we weren't there during a busy time but I didn't encounter major problems.
-MagicBands worked well 90% of the time. Had a little issue at check in and it took about 30 minutes longer than it should have, but All-Star Music Cast Member gave us extra fastpasses for our wait. And I intentionally spoke with several cast members at restaurants, gates, attractions, etc. regarding their thoughts on the bands and they were overwhelmingly positive. Admitted that there had been some issues early on but most of the kinks had been worked out.
-Did a DVC tour (already considering buying back in but they offered us $125 in gift cards to go so we did it). I asked the guide about DVC sort of being "left out" with all of the new FP+/MagicBand changes and he stated that they had already begun addressing those and went on to talk about all the attention that was going to be paid to DVC members in this area over the next year.
All in all, a great trip!
