Just got back last week from a seven night trip. Wanted to let you all know, since it gets asked sometimes, that we had EXCELLENT experiences with Frontier both ways. I had never flown them before and, obviously, I booked them because they were super cheap. For the two of us, we saved about $400 total over the next cheapest option, even paying to check one bag each way. That said, I was apprehensive. It ended up honestly being the most painless air travel experience I've ever had. We flew out of St. Louis at 6:15am on a Sunday. Flight boarded and left precisely on time and got us to MCO about 30 minutes ahead of schedule. Plane was very clean and all staff were friendly and helpful. Boarding process was very calm and organized. Just overall a great experience. One little bit of "magic" for my son was that the gate agents at St. Louis were all wearing Disney lanyards and trading pins while working the flight to Orlando. A nice touch. My son was thrilled to make his first pin trade of the trip before he ever got on the plane. Flight back was just as smooth. Again, precisely on time. Very nice. Wouldn't hesitate to fly with them again if the price was right, as it was this time. I know bad experiences can happen on any airline. (Personally, I will NEVER fly American again, lol.) Just wanted to share that we had a good one with Frontier this trip.
Also, we used Uber several times this trip and really enjoyed the flexibility and convenience for trips like Caribbean Beach to Disney Quest (bus lets you out on the complete other end of Disney Springs and it was a 90 degree day so we wanted to skip the hike), Typhoon Lagoon to Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom Lodge to Caribbean Beach, etc. We had never used Uber before, but it was quick, simple, and easy and way cheaper thab the cabs we have used for those kinds of trips before. We enjoyed chatting with our drivers and had nothing but great experiences. We even used it our last day from Epcot back to Caribbean Beach so we could stay in the park a little longer and still make our Magical Express pick up. Uber from Epcot direct to the Custom House at CBR was less than 12 minutes - MUCH faster than bus from Epcot to CBR and then wait for the internal bus or walk to Custom House. My DS12 especially loved the Uber trips because he loves all things tech and was fascinated by the whole idea of ride sharing, the way the app worked, following our driver's progress toward us by watching the little car on the phone screen, etc. Lol.
And, for those staying or thinking of staying at CBR, we had zero problems with the buses to and from the parks overall. Never waited more than a few minutes for a bus and didn't mind making the stops around the resort since it only added a few minutes of travel time, really. No big deal. If you are staying there or thinking of staying there, don't let the bus situation scare you off. Honestly, we had much better bus experiences there than at some of the deluxes we have stayed at!
Just thought I'd throw those experiences out there.
