Just back and it was great. Only bad thing was the smaller pool was closed off and on the first week we were there. Got a great cabin in loop 2700. Short walk to pool, (when it was open). They finally fixed it. Buses were great. Planning next years trip. The only way to go is the cabins for us.

Seems the second TV is definitely back. That was nice. Best thing we remembered to bring this year was chairs for the deck. Any questions just ask. I never can bring myself to do trip reports. Makes me sad, miss it too much.

Where did you store all your empty luggage? We like to unpack. But I was wondering if there was enough room like under the beds to put the empty suitcases. Thanks-Julie

Everyone only gets one bag. They all fit under the double bed in the bedroom. I think we end up doing laundry once or twice. We drive so if we need to we can leave stuff in the van. We take beach towels but you don't need to. They leave plenty in the cabin. For shoes all you need is sandals and sneakers.

I noticed you have gone 3 times in july or august...we are planning a trip in August ( last week) and have never camped in Fl in the summer (only Dec. and Jan)...will not be in a cabin so any ideas about how hot it is at night( for sleeping, no a/c in the van we will use)? any problems with bugs? any other advice. relaize in acabin it is different but just wondering what to expect weather wise

Thanks

We never camp. DD and I not good campers. It does start to cool off a little bit in August at night. But not significantly. We always try to go in August because it's just not quite as a crowded. DH and I both teachers so really can't go any other time of year. Maybe you could start a thread?

Hello Mja451,
We are going next week and renting 2 cabins. Were you able to check in early? Also how were the crowds? We always stay in FW my kids love it there. :sunny:

We had to check in around 4, but, we requested a specific cabin on a specific loop. Plus it seemed communication between mousekeeping and front desk was a little lax this time. Then the guy across the road the day we checked out...was able to check in at 10 in the morning. I think it depends on how flexible you are with where you want to be. The past 2 years we were able to check in early, around noon. I think we went earlier this year and the resort in general was much more crowded. Have fun, we miss it already.

Oh, forgot about crowds. When we got there, crowded. But as we got closer to August, they really became more manageable. School starts so early down there. Last 2 years went in mid August and crowds were great.

Thanks Mja451, We are checking in around 9:00 am so if nothing is ready we will just head over to MK, we have a ps for the Castle
for lunch. Thanks again!
