So....I'm a 'thread junkie' here just like the rest of you..... I read these just for fun. However all this reading means I see ALLLLL the things that can possibly go wrong posted here...... So last weeks trip was me planning for a family group of 16. (yup) We all agreed that I could set the pace for FP etc for our group. Guess what? It all worked out! I just wanted to add a note of positivity in here-
Crowd levels, not bad at all! We pretty much had 3 FP set daily, starting at about 9 am daily. earlier is of course better. B/c we had so many people in our group, and 2 rider swap babies, we made use of the passes that way,it took us longer than I anticipated to get thru each ride. The only thing I would have done differently with out large group and this schedule is to do 2 FP first thing (along with all the swaps/waits for our group) and schedule the 3rd for after a lunch break time. Too many days we had to push on to that 3rd,in spite of the fact it would have been easier to stop for an hour to eat. Other than that,it all went very well, in fact, one of our days I had planned, some of the group changed their minds last minute and headed elsewhere....it was still no problem!
Parks were great, a couple of ride shutdowns over the week, which ended up fine as our FP converted to all day passes after that (nice)
I can say that midday around 2-3-ish, we all hated the parks. It got hot and too crowded. This was in every park lol. At that point most of us left and did something else, and some returned for night shows etc when things had cooled and calmed down.
Disney IT drove me nuts trying to get it all set up, but the 'magic' is still there around every corner IMHO. We all had a BLAST. Since we had 9 days, we took full advantage of our pools too....lovely to chill out for a few hours!
