We just got back from our early March trip and wanted to share a few things.
Boy was is busy! But others have written about that, so I’ll just say, Wow!
The GF dining was stellar, as usual. Disney does this so well. Our daughter ate at the following locations with no issues at all. I'll indicate where the chef came out as we ordered.
DLR
Park Plaza Bfast – GF mickey waffles, bacon, eggs, jello (chef)
Aladdin’s Oasis – Grilled chicken, fruit, gf roll, cookie (chef)
Jolly Holiday – Grilled chicken sandwich (chef)
Dole whips
Popcorn
DCA
Lucky Fortune- teriyaki chicken rice bowl
Flo’s V8 – Beef and cheddar sandwich, coleslaw, vanilla shake (chef)
Smoke Jumpers – cheeseburger, fries
Our spot for MSEP viewing was a different location than expected. (first show March 3) That area was used for a VIP group, I think with a local radio station? So we were across from that in front of the toy kiosk with IASW to our left. It was still worth it in my opinion. We were there early so we got to be right at the rope. My dad stayed in his ECV. My Mom and daughters were behind us on the concrete wall. However, some later arrivals stood in front of them. But they could still see the parade just fine since it came towards us before turning. Fireworks stopping after a few minutes was a bummer.
The ECV was a lifesaver! My Dad can’t walk or stand for long periods of time. At Alice, Peter Pan, BTMRR and HM we were given an hour window return time, much like a fastpass. Then we could go on a few rides and come back. Like a fastpass you can only have one at a time. At DCA, all of the areas could accommodate the ECV in line. We then went to a special area to load for TSMM and RSR.
Funny story, when he was wheeling through Rancho Zocolo tables, the arm of the vehicle caught on a man’s chair and pulled it out from under him!! Luckily he caught himself and didn’t hit the ground. Also had a good sense of humor!!
Overall a great trip. With good planning and fastpass use, we were able to ride our priorities. But won’t be back for awhile. Crowds were just too much to do again anytime soon.
Edited to change DLR to DCA about all lines accommodating ECVs
