It should be noted that only the pub portion is closed, being refurbished and spruicing up the restrooms. The dining room and outdoor seating area are still open, and Pam Brody has a temporary post in the outdoor seating area.
Also, part of the reason gas is so relatively inexpensive (har!) on property now is because Hess now runs the stations. Exxon consistently had prices that were at least 25 cents higher than elsewhere, and were they still around, the price for regular unleaded now would be in the $2.15 range. (also the employees are nicer and the interiors are cleaner.)
