Just back from WL concierge. Loved it!

We just returned from 7 nights at WL concierge. We had a great experience. We had stayed on the concierge level two years ago and really enjoyed it then also. The concierge staff was very helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed how relaxing our stay was. It was really nice to have the lounge area close by. In the morning, I could shower and get ready while DH read the paper and DS6 and DS9 ate breakfast and played with the lincoln logs. We found that DS6 still tired out in the afternoon, so most days we came back to the WL for a swim and some down time before we went back to the parks for the evening. It was very convenient to have snacks and drinks easily available when we returned to the resort. DH and I also really enjoyed having a glass or two of wine in the evenings. I'd be glad to answer any questions.

Was Glenn still working there? He really made our stay at WL concierge special. Such a great guy!

I'm glad your experience was so positive.

We were there (our 3rd time) from 2/6-2/13 and this time, we were really unimpressed. (For details, see my post under "Poly concierge disappointed" (or something like that lower on the page)).


Anyway, we usually have the best time at WL-C but this time was ho-hum at best.

We just booked Poly-C for next year. Hoping to be wowed like we used to be at the WL-C.

PS Glenn got promoted to Contemporary's concierge and boy, did we miss him!

Ergens2 - We paid $2185 for 7 nights (incl. tax) so that's about $312/night or around $280 before tax.

Transportation was great. We often waited less than 5 minutes for a bus. The only exception was after leaving Epcot one evening around 7:45 pm, we must have waited about 30 minutes for a bus (seemed like longer). I guess all the busses were at MGM for the end of Fantasmic. The next time we left Ecpot at 6:30pm and saw our bus just leaving as we walked up. DS6 was really tired, so we just took a cab and it was $8.50 to the WL (+ tip). The boat transportation was always very prompt and enjoyable. On one Early entry morning to MK, there were too many people waiting (at 7:35 am for an 8 am opening) and we couldn't all fit on the 1st boat, but a 2nd boat came shortly and we still got to MK in time for the park opening.

We didn't see Glenn. Marco and the others (I'm really bad with remembering names) were very friendly and helpful. We found the service at WL comparable to what we experienced two years ago. The day we left a supervisor was training some new people, and it was interesting to hear snippets of their conversation as I walked by.

Oh no! That really stinks... we were hoping to have him again. I guess it's goodbye forever because I have no plans to stay at the CR.
