:goodvibes We just returned last night from 1 week at ASSP and one week of free dining! It was a great week and I have so much info to share!
We stayed in the Touchdown building room 140 & 141. The rooms were not rehabed yet, but they were planning to redo our rooms next. They did come in while we were there and rekey both rooms and change the light fixtures. Overall, the rooms were in good condition considering their age!
We did not see the YOMD team at all, but we did receive several perks while there. Upon checking in we were given connecting rooms as our original reservation was for a handicapped accessable room with 2 beds and there are none available. :tinker: After entering Epcot, the girls were both presented with Tinkerbell pins, one to keep and one to give away! :goodvibes They were also choosen to request a candy form the Japanese candy lady! :goodvibes We then went to the Akerhaus in Norway for dinner and it was a bit dissapointing. The food was not to best and the service was lousy. The worst we have ever had:confused: I have to believe it was because of the Free dining. We then went to the motel to sleep in prepartation for a long next day!
Tuesday: We went to the MK and walked on to all of the Fantasy Land rides! WoW!! We had a great time! We rode the teacups with Alice and the Mad Hatter, The carousel with Mary Poppins and went on SW boats 3x's with no wait! It was great! We then went to the caracter greetings in Toon town with little (if any) wait for them all! Next it was off to the BBB for makeovers! This was really fun for the girls and the Fairy Godmothers in training did a great job! They made both girls feel like real Princesses! We then went to CRT for dinner. This ws another dissappointment. My oldest daughter is in a wheelchair and they put us up on the highest deck, in the far corner and we could not see a thing, not to mention it was very dark. The food was ok, but not great, and the service, once agian was lacking. I never got a refill on my Iced tea, ever! We then went to Fantasy land again and had another great time while waiting for the parade to start. After the parade we went to DTD to get our legos, ponys and discount on all of our souvineers.:goodvibes
Wednesday: We headed to MGM to the playhouse disney breakfast. Not a whole lot of time with the characters here, we felt rushed to eat and leave. We will not do this breakfast again. We then went to Playhouse disney live and the little mermaid and then off to the streets of AMerica. The crowds were extremely low here and everything was no wait. We ate dinner at the Pizza Planet and had a very nice lunch and left to go back to sports to rest up before our dinner and photo shoot at the GF. This is where things get interesting...
We had our photo shoot at the GF and all in all things went well. We got a few very nice photos, but not as many as I would have liked. I felt rushed. Sometime while we were on the beach, my DD got bit by something and I did not notice right away. She did not know either...
We went to dinner at 1900 Park Fair and it was amazing! The food was GREAT! the service was EXCELLENT! and the ENTERTAINMENT was very nice! My youngest was asked to dance by Prince Charming and was in AWE! Of course she was in her finest princess wear and was all smiles! At about this time, I realized something was wrong with DD. The entire right side of her face was swelling up. We quickly finished eating and left to seek first aid. Disney first aid was great. They quickly accessed the situation and gave us benedryl and Motrin and an ice pack. They watched her very quickly and asked if I was comfortable with ehr care, if I wanted her transfered to a medical facility close by, etc. Now, DD is medically fragile, and has extremely high medical needs. She reacts very strongly to certain meds, treatments, etc. BUT I have never seen her react to a bug bite like she did this night! Within 45 minutes of the bite, her right eye and entire side of her face was so swollen, including her lip and neck! They transported us by private vehicle back to our room at sports and called about an hour later to check on her. I always travel with all of our eqipment so I felt comfortable back in our room with her there. The next morning she was still quite swollen and I called medical services and the nurse came over to look at her and brought another dose of benedryl and motrin with. I had kept ice on her face all night. By noon on Thursday she was looking much better but was very sleepy from the benedryl but my youngest DGD wanted to do something. So we called medical services and they told us to stop at the first aid on the way into the MK and have her looked at once again and go from there. We headed to the MK and had a very nice time and once again walked on to most everything in Adventureland and Frounteerland. We did POTCpirate: , JC, POTCpirate: , JS meet and greet and ETR, Buzz and Woody, and the roundup and went back to ISW. Overall a short by nice day and DD had a nice time there... That night we at at the Main ST Bakery as it was quiet and there was no wait.
Friday: DD was feeling much better today, a bit swollen but nothing like the day before. We went to the Poly for breakfast with Lilo and STitch. We were dissappiointed once again. After breakfast we headed to AK and had a very nice time. Once again everything was little to no wait and walk on. We went on KS and the RP, rode the train and did Nemo on stage (amazing), LK, Camp Mickey/Minnie and did a bit of shopping. A very nice day and meet some very nice cast members along the way. When we returned to our room we had a message from first aid asking how DD was doing. I called them back and they sent over the cutest mickey mouse stuffed toy :goodvibes with a mickey balloon (no latex here). Do I need to explain??:rotfl:Later this night we went to CM for dinner and had a GREAT dinner, I was a bit disappointed at the buffet, I felt they took alot of choices out since our last visit, but maby it was just me... BUT the food was delish and the service was great!:goodvibes
Saturday am: We were scheduled to go to the CP for breakfast, but DD and DGD were sleeping so soundly that I could not bring myself to wake them so I called and cancelled. This gave me pkenty of time to pack to go home. We just spent the day exchanging our tableservice and counterservice credits to snacks, lanyards, pins and a few drinks to take with on our way home. We returned to the room and called for help with the luggage. We then headed to the bus for our ride to the airport.
I did go ahead and book our next trip with free dining for next Septmeber. We ahd a great time and cant wait to go back next year!
The one thing that I think that I will change is I think I will rent a car next year as the transportation was too crowded and it took us a good 2 hours both coming from and going to the airport. But over all the transportation was good. We did encounter a few very rude comments about 'getting perks for using a w/c, never having to wait in line, always getting a seat on the bus, etc', but I take them all in stride and am glad to give up my seat to someone who needs it, anytime. Not to mention we do wait in line, many times we were told by CM's to go to the exit and we could forgo the line, and I said 'no thank'; we can wait! And we did!! I love Disney and would never let the people who vist there and have NO MANNERS, detour me for returning!!pixiedust: pixiedust:

I'm glad you had a good trip overall, how is your DD feeling?? We are staying at ASSp when we go in about 3 weeks. Did you find it comfortable? We also have ressies for 1900! lol... Did you take any pics? Thanks for the TR!!popcorn::

We LOVE ASSP!! It was very comfortable and quiet. We never go to WDW for the room, although I would love to try concerge just once. Everything was nice and convienent, even with the main pool closed, all was just a short walk away! have a GREAT trip and be sure to write a report abou it once you return!
