We marched to a different drummer and decided to stay at Windsor Palms instead of Windsor Hills. It was really nice and beautiful. We'd stay there again.

Our condo was beautiful and clean. They provided a starter pack of supplies to get us through a couple of days. They even had toys and books for the kids as well as an XBox with e-rated games (www.disneycondo.net). The area was very quiet - no wild parties or noises. Even the armadillos and raccoons respected the silence!

The condo location backed up to the conservation area and contrary to other reports, not a single sniff of the waste treatment plant that's south of the community. We talked to a bunch of other guests and none of them had this olfactory experience.

The pool may be smaller than WH, but there's no fee to get in the pool. We didn't experience any overcrowding at all during our stay.l Everything was well maintained at the clubhouse and at the condo. The ease of getting to the park (using Sherberth Road, of course) was simple and fast.

Glad you had a great stay. We stayed in Windsor Palms a few years ago and really liked it too. Thanks for the review.

We toured the grounds at WP's and we also thought it was beautiful. Sounds like you had a great time.

You mentioned that there is no fee to get into the pool here. Are you saying there is a fee to get into the pool at Windsor Hills? Thanks for any info!

You have to take your rental papers to the clubhouse office and they will issue you an access card which costs $6. This is refundable when you return the card at the end of your stay. It gives you access to the pool, fitness room, playground etc. If you lose the card you don't get your money back but you can go get another card and pay $6 again. You can get as many cards as you want but pay for each. All money returned when you return your cards. (It's the size of a credit card)

Thanks for the quick response! Now that you say that, I do remember that policy. :thumbsup2

I'll be at Windsor Palms in 59 days (who's counting?) I was a little hesitant about staying off site but after reading your reviews, I'm looking forward to it.

Deposit was sent in today for our stay in November at Windsor Palms .. can't wait!!!

Gotta love Windsor Palms...seems like lots of people on the DIS stay at the Hills...but Palms is so quite...especially on the Conservation view. That's the reason that my wife and I bought a house there last year...wish we could be there more often!!! Glad you had a great time!

Anyone else stay in WP recently? I am soooo looking forward to our upcoming trip the end of October.:cool1:
