The Wilderness Lodge was awesome...We had booked a standard room with a request for bunk beds. When we checked in the cm told me that they could not give us bunk beds. I told him that was alright it didn't really matter. Then he said.....but we have upgraded you to a courtyard view :jumping1: We were in room 1167. We walked out of our room and passed one other room and walked right out to the pool! I was worried at first that it would be noisy, but we didn't hear a thing. It was a great location. We just had to walk around the pool and could walk right into the hallway where Roaring Forks was. Also, we could look out our sliding glass door and see the lake and spectromagic every night. The mousekeeping was great. They made towel animals for us every day. The cm's were very helpful. We had a couple of problems with our "keys to the world" and they replaced them immediately. I would be happy to answer anymore ? if I didn't cover something. :earsgirl:

It sounds like you had a wonderful time. I am thinking of staying at either WL or ALK but I haven't decided yet. How was transportation to the parks?

Glad to hear you had such a great stay!!
D.D.

Glad you had such a good time. Its just getting me more excited-I'm heading down there on Thursday. I  WL.

The transportation was good. We never had to wait more than 10 minutes for a bus. We took the boat to MK and to the CR. I have to say that the excitement of riding the boat wore off pretty quick. It was pretty but it took longer (about 20 min.) and it seemed like you had to wait longer for one....especially on the way back after the park was closing. A bus runs to MK as well...so after trying the boat once I would take the bus jmho.

Glad you landed an upgrade; hope to do so at POR in August, 2005. One question, what time is spectromagic?

Thanks. :flower3:

Sounds like you had a great stay! Thanks for posting!

I think you mean the Electric Water Parade. It starts at 9 pm at the GF and works its way around to FW.

Eleanor,
What are some of the other resorts you can view the Electric Water Parade from?
Thanks so much!

That's wonderful! ~*Pixie Dust*~ was sprinkled on you! Glad you liked WL! We love WL! We love the courtyard view! Nothing beats the courtyard view!

Glad you enjoyed WL. We love it too!

On another note to Fantasia- Your picture is all blurry in all the posts I read from you and I was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem. I was able to see your other picture just fine but I'd love to see the new one of you and your adorable kids! :flower:

It looks okay for me. Anyone else?

To the OP, thanks for the review of your stay. I'm glad you had such a wonderful time.

Thanks for posting. We arrive at WL on 8/14!!! :sunny: I am so excited!!

What were the pool conditions like? Was it possible to get a chair midday?

Thanks for the review! Glad you had a fabulous vacation! I am finally getting that *feeling* that our trip will be soooooooooooon!

Last time we stayed at the WL the EWP made its way around at about 9:35-9:40. The music can be heard from a courtyard room with the doors closed.

I think I am going to book a studio there for 3 days in early November. My question is do you think it is a good choice for myself, my 6yr old DD and 2 yr old DD? I have always wanted to stay there, but it is always booked!!! My one concern is that people have said the transportation is very slow (long waits for buses). Any opinions?

thanks, pamela

I know which room you stayed in! We had 1165 in 2003 and it was the best!! Glad you had a great time! :cool1:

Well, it seems like everyone who goes to WDW with any regularity has at least one "slow transportation" story, regardless of the resort they stayed at from Polynesian to GF, to Y&B club, BWI, and never mind the AKL. The good news is that these "waited forever" stories are the exception and not the rule. We've stayed at WL many times and have found the transportation there to be as good as any other Disney resort. So, no worries! Have a great trip.
