We just returned from a week at the Riverside resort ( 4-14 through 4-21). Used Tiffany Towncar from the airport. Great driver, Rick, was at the baggage area when we got there, even though our plane was 30 minutes late. Arrived at hotel at noon. The place was in complete chaos. Bags got dropped on the curb and no one was around to help. I went in to check in leaving DW with bags. Long line at check in, but I got the room I wanted in Parterre Place, and got an upgrade to waterview for free!. Came back out and bags are still at curb! Went to the luggage service was told to go to Bell services. Went there was told to go to luggage services. Told the person at bell services that I had just been told to come there. SHe became very helpful and left the booth to help us, even though there was a line. She tagged all our bags and said they would be in the room in 30 minutes!
After that we mostly had a great time. the crowds did not seem too overwhelming, even at the Magic Kingdom on Easter Sunday. We had PS at Cindy's at 8:20 on easter morning and stayed in the park until the kids started to get tired. Went back to the hotel and returned to the park around 7. Using fastpass and moving around a bit we never were in a line for more than 20 minutes. The kids were getting tired and wanted to go back to the room. We got stuck trying to leave while people were getting ready for the parade and had to take Mickeys train around the park in order to get to Main Street.
Buses - Were ok, not great, not awful. No sign of the bus on demand. Never saw anyone at the hotel tracking who was going where. Worst experience on the bus was from the Animal Kingdom. About 20 people were at the Port Orleans stop. A bus pulled up, we all got on. The bus then proceeded to the Swan Hotel. I went to the driver and asked if we were going to Port Orleans, he said no. I said that I believe that all the people on the bus want to go there. He got on the microphone and asked where everyone was going and everyone said Port Orleans. He said ok and that is where we then went.
There is more to report, and I will answer any questions. We went to Magic Kingdom. EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, Typhoon Lagoon, Universal studios and Downtown Disney.
