We just got back from a wet week at WDW and still managed to have a wonderful time. 13 yr old DD and I stayed in a studio at BW (rm 5081) which had a great view of the Illuminations fireworks at night. The studio was freshly redone with new carpet, bedspread and drapes and a fresh coat of paint. Looked great however, the french doors would not close tight even when locked. I reported to Housekeeping and assumed someone came in to fix it. However the first day of rain the doors leaked water over much of the carpet. I reported again and they came up while we were away and just put towels down. I finally called the BW manager - Julie and told her I hated to see the new carpet ruined in all the rain and she sent someone up right away to fix the doors.
Despite all the torrential rain (and they say Seattle gets alot!) we had a great time. The BW was decorated beautifully and we always love to see the juggler. Had dinner our first night at Olivias (DD choice) and it was great as usual. It was totally crowded Saturday nite (7th) and our waiter said it was great to have all the crowds this year compared to last December when he was laid off for 3 months.
We also enjoyed our dinner at 50's Prime Time before the Osborne lights one night. We were lucky enough to get Lydia again as our server. She fits into the role perfectly and lots of fun.
Oh, also had to relay we got the "infamous" 7 a.m. call on check out day with just the dial tone when we answered. Too bad we were already awake and on the way to Spoodles for breakfast!
