Just back from WDW...our best trip yet!

Hi all - we are just back from WDW - but we had a great time while we were there. We were surprised to see what seemed like lots of groups of school kids taking day trips (they were usually all wearing matching t-shirts with the school's name) almost every day of the trip (5/9 - 5/15). As many of these groups as there were, though, they didn't seem to have any negative effect on the waiting times for the attractions, even the most popular ones (many of the tweens and teens were on the obnoxious side, though, with no observable reaction from their chaperones). We never waited more than 15 minutes for anything, but our usual wait was between 5 and 10 minutes.

As always, getting to the parks early helps tremendously. CM's were pleasant and helpful, as we've always found them to be. Except for 2 humid days, the weather for the trip was beautiful - hot, but often dry and with a lovely breeze. The flowers are stunning, especially at Epcot for the Flower & Garden Festival. Oh, how I wish I were back there right now...

Sorry I haven't been on in a couple of days - we're just back and this was a birthday party weekend for DD7 - family party Saturday and kid party Sunday - whew!

We stayed at the GF, our favorite resort. It just feels like home away from home when we first step into the lobby and inhale the familiar scents! I have to admit that without any real discount codes (those upgraded park tickets saved us a whopping $62) this vacation hurt the pocketbook a bit - I guess we were spoiled with that Fairytale pkg. in 2003 (pay for 4 nights, get 3 nights free).

If you don't mind taking the kids out of school, this is a great time to go!
