We just returned on Wednesday afternoon from a 10 day vacation at WDW, and I was thrilled when I got on the scale on Thursday, and found out I pretty much held my ground in maintaining while down there. I thought I was going to be ok due to all the extra walking (we didn't have a car, so hiked/bussed everywhere). But I did allow myself a decent amount of leway while there. I didn't go "whole hog" mind you, but I didn't totally count points either. I did, though, try to make decent choices during my days. If we were having a big meal for lunch, I tried to then go lighter for breakfast and supper, and I did order fruit instead of fries mostly. I did get hooked on moca smoothie type drinks, so that was my treat most days. We had a couple of stops into Beaches 'n' Cream and had ice cream too. Only had one Mickey bar the entire trip though, that was definately a compromise!
So, just proof, that a trip to the "homeland" doesn't have to totally derail a food plan. Now that I am back, I am pretty much back in the swing of things again to remain steady on the scale.
Now, just to pick a day to start planning our next trip!!! We loved the BCV this time!!!
