This was our first offsite stay in a loooonngggg time. We got an incredible deal for $500 for 7 nights. Everything about this resort is amazing. It is everything a Disney resort has (except the theming) and more. The location is incredible: 5 minutes to DHS (if you hit all the lights), 10 minutes tops to MK, Epcot is about 5-7 minutes, and AK is only about 7-10 minutes.

WBC has daily activities for the kids and adults. The weather permitted us to enjoy a few of them on down afternoons. All of the kids enjoy them. They are as fun if not more fun than the pool activities at the Disney resorts. Some of the activities do have a small fee which is not outrageous. You have shuffle board, pool tables, ping pong tables, chess, checkers, free grills, and a bunch of pools. There is nothing to complain about other than some of the walking required to the pools. Although we did not take advantage of the grills and cooking in the room, I can already see many trips in our future where this would be insanely advantageous. In larger groups, you can crockpot meals, grill hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken in bulk. All of this will save tons of money. You can also vacation there without going to the parks and just enjoy the weather and activities.

Now for the only cons at the resort. First, we were given a room that was already occupied. Thank goodness the people there were decent and non-confrontational. We both apologized, chatted a bit, and called the front desk. The problem was resolved in about 10 minutes with bell services bringing keys to a new room in the same tower (Tower 4). The second issue is their room keys demagnetize far too easily and/or their card readers are too sensitive. There were too many times where we couldn't get into the tower or the room. Calls to front desk have a bell service person out fairly quickly. However, after one time, it should be fixed.

The other con and this is not a WBC con, but a Disney con. Knowing you have to drive and park, the parking lot can be a long way away. Not too big of a deal if you consider the monorail your first ride of the day.

We will definitely be staying here on future trips. For the price and what you get, WBC >>>> Any Disney resort. Disney resorts have convenience as their only real advantage.

Where did you book to get such a great deal and how far in advance? Hoping to stay there in February but haven't found an amazing deal yet.

I booked through Vacation Strategies for May. 3 bedroom presidential for $1200. Way cheaper than the $4000 I was gonna pay Disney for a regular room.
