Thought I'd post our rooms and info for those interested.

We checked into W/L 11/9, 4:30pm. It was the heighth of Jersey week and Super Soaps. The CM at W/L first asked if we'd like to try Animial Kingdom Lodge. I guess they were underbooked there and trying to shift guests. We didn't want to. We had booked courtyard view and had requested room close to lobby due to my mother's mobility (age 70). The CM saw we were 1/2 way down on the north wing and worked hard to move us. She offered bunks but knowing I'd have to sleep in one, we didn't want that. She got us room 4067 which faces east, door opens over the lobby sort of. I was the last room before the turn for the north wing. View was partially obscured w/trees but could see the lake. Location was great for us.

At the BWI we had also requested close to lobby, day bed and full balcony. We were given room 4298 which was perfect. The balcony was smallish but still had two chairs and tiny table. And the best part was we had view of EPCOT. Could see the land, eiffel tower and in the middle the top of Spaceship Earth. Watched the fireworks from there. The CM said that in the computer, they had blocked that room for us and assigner had put in a note "DO NOT MOVE". That was nice.

We were very pleased with the Boardwalk rooms. Seemed much bigger than W/L and just brighter. The xmas decorations were up there when we moved to is (11/12) and those were beautiful.

Given a choice, would go back to Boardwalk again in a heartbeat. Would certainly do W/L again too but just not first choice.

Welcome back!! I never stayed at either resort, but they both sound awesome...glad you enjoyed!!

Im off to BWI too in a few weeks. Have a few questions if you dont mind. Has all the construction been finished yet. Was your view standard, non smoking. I visited BWI last yr & knew I wanted to stay there. After a yr of brown bagging it Im looking forward to 8 days there!!Any others comments about it?

Our room was standard, non-smoking. There wasn't any construction around the Inn but plenty of scaffolding up around the villas side. None on the boardwalk side of villas but around the theme pool and the outside rooms.

I loved the Christmas decorations. I had seen W/L decorations last year and while I know folks think those are great, I thought BWI's was prettier. Maybe it's just the contrast between the light, airy colors of the rooms with the trees and lights that I like better.

The Bellvue Room does serve continental breakfast things in the morning and that was handy for us.

Housekeeping was good. I tipped $1 per person (there were three of us) and also left mints. There were no towel animals at all. At the W/L however, we had towel animals all over the place.

Boat and bus was fine. Although for bus, Boardwalk would be last stop in the route but to me, still better then hassel of a car.

It was a really nice stay and I really want to go back next year. Will have to brown bag it like you plus consider a couple of nights at a moderate (not that that's bad) to bring the price of the trip down some. Don't think I can afford the whole trip at the Inn.
