Had a wonderful, whirlwind trip to Vero. Resort was lovely as always. We got our room (no. 2422) right away (at 1:30 p.m.) and it was in great shape, with a nice roomy balcony and a view of the ocean. CMs were great, very friendly. Got a welcome home right off the bat. They said place was booked solid through Easter.
Had lunch at Shutters (the tuna club is terrific!) and our anniversary dinner in town at Cafe du Soir (really fantastic and romantic. The best red snapper I've ever had.)
We didn't have the best weather karma. It was warm and sunny when we got there -- then the skies went dark and the temps dropped! But we used the opportunity to get in some reading and I got a relaxing, one-hour deep tissue massage. The price was really good -- I would have paid more in South Florida.
We also stopped by the Environmental Learning Center on the way out of town. It would be great for kids... we'll take DS next time.
