Just a quick visit to US/IOA. We visited OIA on Friday May 18, US on Sat 5/19, and on Sun 5/20 we went first to US and then to IOA.
We arrived to the gates of the parks no later than 8:50 AM, at that point the parks were already open and people were in.
On Friday we we were able to do basicaly all the atractions without any waiting, we even did hulk twice. The only attractions with some waiting were the Flying Unicorn and Dueling Dragons. Both rides were running only one train. There were plenty of schools on Friday, but it was a good day.
On Saturday we were able to do basicaly all the atractions without any waiting. We even did the Mummy 3 times, MIB twice, and the kids did Woody's rollercoaster 6 times. We were done by 2 PM with all the attractions. Then we did BJ and Animal Planet.
On Sunday we did the Mummy 6 times (my daughters favoride ride), then MIB (twice), Woddy's (3 times) and some playtime in the ball factory. Then around 11 AM we headed to IOA, there we did again River Adv.(short wait 20 min), and the flying thingy (long wait about 40 min), then we moved to Seuss Landing were we did the Cat in the Hat and some shopping. We were out of the park by 3 PM. Another great day.
Now, we did the Meal Plan on Fri and Sat. One park per day for $19.99/day. Will I do it again? NO. I don't think there is a savings with the plan. Your options are limited and the places that participate in the plan serve the same options (except the Oriental food at one place in IOA and also at one place in US). The cost of the entrees averages $8. You need to do the most expensive items to break even. The desserts that they offer are not that good, the lemon cake was dry, and the chocolate cake/moose was not that good also (my son ate the frosting only).
