Just got back on Friday and really enjoyed our stay at the POP. We said we would definately go back. We stayed in the 70's area right by the Big Wheel on the 3rd floor. I took a walk around the whole resort and liked the whole decor. I like the lobby where they had shadow boxes of "things" of the past. It was like walking down memory lane and seeing toys from my childhood.

We did not have to wait long at any of the bus stops. Even coming out of MK at night we waited 10 minutes and then came 2 buses back to back.

We had breakfast nearly every morning there and thought it was good. We had the dining plan and it all worked out good.

If you have any questions let me know. :sunny:

Hey thats were we stayed last year...room 308!
Lotsa fun there! :earsboy:

I just got back form POP about 2 weeks ago and I am already having "Mickey" withdrawels. POP was great so I can inderstand that you had such a good time. I would recommend POP to anyone. It was such a fun, great experience.

So did you ride the big wheel??? :rotfl: Did you happen to see the weight limit? If I recall correctly it holds right around 500 Lbs. Now even I can ride that :rotfl:

I just got back from POP a week ago and I can't wait to go back........I wish I could surprise my son and go before school starts........I could probably swing it..... but we shall see......I don't think I could stay anywhere else now!!!!!

How was the food court of the kids meals? We leave in 23 days and are staying at the POP. It is our first time. We liked all the ALL STARS but thought we would try something new. My question is how is the kids meals? I have read that there isn't much variety. My kids like mac & Cheese, pizza, hotdogs, and chicken nuggets. They are prett picky eaters. Do you think they will survive?

Thanks for all your help!!

From what I can remember there were 3 to 4 things to choose from on the kids menu. We mostly ate breakfast there and the kids had a scambled egg platter. My DS's did like the hot dog and chicken. I think your kids will survive. My 8 year old ate a hot dog every day in WDW and believe it or not since we have been home it has been the same due to barbeques. He loves hot dogs. Tonight, however, whether he likes it or not it is tacos. :)

Have fun when you go. We really enjoyed our stay and will stay at the POP again. :goodvibes

They also have mac n' cheese and pizza!!!! My son is picky too and could always find something to eat in the food court!! Have fun on your trip!!!!

What about prices in the food court? Never been to Disney so I'm trying to get an idea...

Pop Century Menu Scroll down to Pop Century. When we were there in April '05 they didn't have hot dogs on the kid's menu so DS had to get one from the regular menu (almost $2 more than kid's meals). I don't understand why they don't have a hot dog or hamburger kid's meal.

We're staying there in September :flower: Can't wait! DS saw the huge toys in the pics of POP and asked if we could stay there, so we chose that for the Sept. trip.

I have read posts where people mentioned the lack of shade. DS and I are going with my mother, and she likes to find shady spots and stay there for awhile to rest. We don't plan on spending a ton of time at the resort, but for the time we are there, is there anywhere you can recommend (other than the room) where she would be able to enjoy the resort without being in the sun too much (she'll be in it enough at the parks and will need some downtime without feeling confined to the room).

Also, I read that there is no bell service at the values. I know that won't matter arriving with Magical Express, but when we are leaving, is there anything (a cart or something like that) available to aide in taking the luggage from the room to the airport check-in kiosk in the lobby? (there is an airport check-in kiosk to get the bags off and get boarding passes printed off, right? I thought I should double-check on that) It will be ds, me, and my mother, so I will be the one schlepping all of the bags solo, if there isn't anything, we'll be packing much lighter.

Thanks :)
