JUST BACK FROM THE POLY - (long)

oh my gosh - I remember it - the stroller and everything. I kept thinking how did she do it with two???
now I know it isn't so bad!
(I have a 2 1/2 yr old and a 10 week old!)

We just returned from our first visit of 8 nights at the Poly and now can't imagine staying anywhere else. We are a family of five travelling with myself, DH, DD (7), DS (4) and DGM.
The resort itself I found to be very relaxed, beautifully landscaped and a lot of fun with all its amenities including the restaurants, beach, pool and marina. It was great coming back at night from a long day at the Parks and strolling through the grounds. It was an immediate relaxation. Everywhere we went we heard "Aloha"

It was a great vacation and now I can't wait to start to start planning the next one. Hopefully it will sooner instead of later! Please feel free to ask any questions.

Oh, I have some questions!...
1) Where exactly on the grounds can you hear the 'Wishes' music?
When we were there a couple of years ago, you could hear the fireworks music underwater at the volcano pool and on the beach, but I understand that this may have changed.
2) When you are strolling down the paths, can you still hear the Hawaiian-style music?

Thanks,
agnes!

thank you - thank you for the review!!

We leave in 4 days and I am SO excited. This is our first Poly stay but it seems to be the cult of Disney Resorts. It isn't the most popular overall but it seems people who go and love find it REALLY hard to go anywhere else. I think I may be their next victim :teeth: We are always going to Ohana's and everytime we walk in the resort, I feel a calm go over me. I love that - esp after all the hustle and bustle of the parks.

Thanks for the report - I will be posting mine when I get back around May 5th.

Great report, the poly is on my list of "must-stay resorts!" Can you walk from poly to the MK? I thought their was a path, but now I am thinking I imagined it :flower: Does anyone know?

Thanks

I thought refrigerators were already installed in the rooms of deluxe resorts. Do you still have to request one? Glad you had a great time, in all 7 times at the Poly, I've never had a bad experience. As for negative reports, anything can happen when traveling, whether you paying $50/nt. or $300, stuff happens, it's how you deal with it that makes the difference. The Poly is the best.

::yes::

Yeah! So glad you enjoyed your stay at the Poly! We won't stay anywhere else when we go to WDW - we LOVE it!

No, you can't walk from the Poly to the MK. The path you are thinking of might be the one to the GF or maybe the TTC.
