Just back from our 3rd cruise. Here our some of the highlights.
We had a dis meet the first day. We had a great group. It was really nice to meet so many people.

Weather was perfect...not a drop of rain the whole cruise. The seas were very calm. Never had more than 2-4 foot seas.

They said the ship was full but they were re-doing all the mid-ship deck 6 rooms on one side.

The band started out as The Charles Marshall band and ended up as Diane and the Marshall Band......we never found out what happend to Charles the lead singer. Diane, the backup was really bad.

One of the more mellow cruises we have been on. Dance floors stayed empty. Even during the parties, not that many people dancing. The deck party was fun but not as crowded as others we have been to.

Food was very good. Our server were Iketut from Bali and Pan from Thailand. Ike was adequate at best and Pan might as well of not been there. He had no personality at all. We had dinner at Palo which was really good but our server acted like he was paying for the food.

We have 2 kids 9 and 12. Neither one of them stepped into the clubs the whole cruise. They had friends that they hung around with the whole cruise.

Any questions let me know

Overall another great cruise, we have 2 more booked.

Do you know what they were doing to the rooms on deck 6? We were in 6550 on 5/15.

You must not have had Salvatore in Palo, he is great!

You had better weather than us, we had 6-8 foot seas with near gale force winds the first 2 days. The waves were not a problem, but the wind made the pools very cold & the melting ice cream was flying every where

Hey fellow cruiser Dave, what dates did you book? We booked 5-28-05 (west coast cruise) and Thanksgiving week (November 19 2005.) The Thanksgiving cruise goes to CC twice, instead of the first stop at Key West.)

I wished you and Fran had our server at Palo dinner. (Eleanora from Sweden.)

Rob and I were hurting when we left because she kept bringing us food, 'try this, try that.'

DrCavin......We went down the hallway the day we boarded and the rooms were totally stripped. On Friday you could tell that all the carpet had been replaced and it looked like new mattresses were in the hallway.

Pricilla.....we are going Oct 23 and July 2 or July 9, we have each week on hold right now.

One more recomendation to everyone is to go to the British Pub night on Friday in Diversions. It was really funny.

I just don't understand this statement! What exactly do you mean? Maybe I'm just dense this morning.

Thanks!

welcome back! Do you remember who your server was at palo? We do not want to have the same experience. Also what dining rotation did you have? thanks JIll

Our servers name was Andrew....he tried to talk us out of ordering more than one meal. He kept saying that was too much and that we would not be able to eat that much. There were items that we just wanted to share as a table ( There were 5 of us). When we asked for a 2nd souffle he said no that it would take at least 30 minutes. Thats when I said I will wait!! Ten minutes later it was done. The food was excellent though.

Our dining rotation was PLAPLAP....which is perfect for the eastern cruise because it puts you in Lumires on Formal night and in Parrot Cay for tropical night.

Okay, I see what you mean. That waiter sounds like a real dud!

Do you know if cabin 6080 (port side of ship) is one of those being overhauled on deck 6?

We'll be in there in two weeks.

Thanks.

I should of made note of the rooms but I did not. From looking at the map of the ship it looks like 6080 was included in the rooms being done but not 6044. It was only port side rooms that were done.

Chris in Boise -

You will love 6080, we had 6088 in January. I hope Richie is your steward he was great and a lot of fun. He makes great towel animals....

We were on the May 22 Magic. I don't remember where on deck 6 it was but when we went to do laundry, part of the stateroom areas were closed. We had a difficult time going up and down floors to try to end up in the section the laundry room was in. It was also extremely hot because of the dryers running and not enough ventilation.

There was also a really strong smell of sewage which is what our suspicion was when we saw the doorways closed.

I'm curious to hear what happened to the band. I didn't think the male singer was that great but the female singer was pretty bad!
