We did have an awsome time! We got to the dolphin discovery at 11:30am to check in and it started to pour buckets. But our "encounter" and "Royal Swim" didn't start till 3:30pm so we went to the beach via their cattle car and had lunch under a thatched roof restaurant right on the beach. As we were finishing, the sun came out and me and ds 13 went snorkeling which was neat. The beach there is rocky and there is no real beach where you can enter just to play in the waves, so beware. It's 90% a snorkeling beach, except for one smal area we only discovered as we walked back to the dolphin area. Take note, don't try to use your American Express card for the excursion since they are having issues with their system. It's a long story, but we ended up paying cash which was very frustrating since we didn't want to use our cash at that point. But both the encounter and royal swim was great and fun and I think, worth it. DH and I had done it in Xcaret a few years ago and it wasn't as good, they didn't give you enough time with the dolphins. Hope you book it direct, I think it is cheaper than thru
DCL.
