Just back from the hospital and I was hoping you would all cheer me up...

At 10 pm last night I started having stomach pain and decided to go to bed but the pain got worse and woke me up at 2 am (2 hrs of sleep).

I got DH to take me to the emergency room and it turns out that I was right, It's my gallbladder...

I was in extreme pain from 2 am till 9 am when we finally got in and they gave me a shot for the pain.They then put me in the Hallway under a larger "C" on a wall and that is where I stayed till 5pm with nobody asking if I was in pain for the rest of the day...I was in horrible pain from 11 am till 4 pm when my DH finally berated them into giving me a muscle relaxer for the back and muscle aches I had. I got no sleep at all since I was in the HALL...

I also could not eat or drink even though I was not going to have surgery today..I have never been so thirsty in my life...No drink from 10 pm till 5 pm the next day...

So please cheer me up...I am on demoral (spelling???) so that helps...Surgery in the next couple of weeks...I want my Mommy to come home from Florida now...

Please cheer me up..

((hugs)) I am sorry you do not feel well and hope your surgery comes through soon so you're on the road to recovery. My DD had her gallbladder done by lapo a few yrs ago and in a day or so felt like a new person. Good luck and even tho I am not your Mommy here's some XO's!! I get that call often from my DD in Wash state that she needs her Chicken Noodle soup...LOL!!!

Oh my goodness, that sound horrid. I went to the ER the first two times I had attacks. They never even examined my gallbladder, never even considered it. They did a bunch of nothing, didn't even give me anything for the pain. Though the one time they pumped my stomach because they thought there was umm blood in my stool. Hello I had my period. Sorry to be gross, but it was just one big nightmare. Then to make matters worse my own doctor at the time misdiagnosed me. I lived with that pain for 10 years. I am now free from my gallbladder and it's soooooo much better now. Just hang in there until your surgery.

I'm so sorry! I hope you feel better soon. I can't believe they just left you in the hall for so long. Shame on them!

My step-mom is having her gallbladder removed Thursday morning and it can't happen soon enough.

I'm so sorry! I've had gallbladder disease for 5 years. I know those attacks, they are worse than natural childbirth I'll be having surgery later this year and just hope I won't have anymore attacks between now and then.

I wanted to say sorry, then tried to think of a joke but couldn't, so I didn't post!

I was just talking to a guy whose son is in Iraq and had his gallbladder removed in a desert hospital tent. The guy told me that the doctor told his son he only had one kidney. I told the guy that his son might still have that gallbladder!

Oh a more serious note, that gallbladder pain, I understand can be so incredibly painful.
