Just back from the Grand Floridian!

We just got back last night from a quick 3 day trip to Disney for my daughter's 9th birthday. We've never stayed at the GF before and we absolutely fell in love with that resort! Originally, we planned on staying at Pop since it was such a quick trip. Well, we invited my parents to come along and my mom and dad offered to pay for the GF so we could all see what it was like. Ok, I won't turn that down! We got a great AP rate so that helped too! What a beautiful resort! The CM's there were great too!

I originally had a garden view room booked, but they upgraded us to lagoon view in Boca Chica. We could see the MK, the Poly, WL and the Contemporary. It was great! We didn't know that we got upgraded until we got to the room and saw that amazing view. We sure got showered with pixie dust!

The resort is beautiful, the rooms are a nice size and decorated beautifully, and those beds.....they were so COMFY!!

Anyway, we had a wonderful stay at the resort and it was a once in a lifetime experience for my family. If I ever want to stay there again, I need to start saving my pennies!

I'm so glad you had a great trip. We are getting ready to leave on Friday for a 3 night stay at GF too! This will be our first time at the GF so I'm pretty excited...3 days and counting.....

Glad you had a great stay and received a nice upgrade!! We also fell in love with the resort on our Thanksgiving stay. We are returning in about a week and a half!!

I fell in love with the GF last Oct. I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I did. Now I'm hoping for an AP rate in Aug so I can take my DS there. (Oct was a girls trip)

Glad you have a wonderful time. I love this resort. Wasn't it nice you could visit during nonpeak season when it's easier to have that pixie dust upgrade sprinkled.

It's our favorite resort too - DH doesn't want to stay anywhere else. I'm so glad you had a good time I get so tired of people who haven't stayed there posting how they think GF i "stuffy" and "unfriendly". What a nice surprise to get upgraded. We've always stayed gv (Sago Cay - marina view) but this year we're spluring for lagoon view - and hoping for a MK view.

I've heard the comments about the GF being 'stuffy' and 'unfriendly', but we didn't feel that way at all. Everyone was very friendly and helpful!

We also had never been upgraded before and it was such a nice treat to have some pixie dust sprinkled on us. Gotta love going during the quiet times during the year!
