Just back from the Fantasy...here are some notes and highlights

My son is the only one who has not had a birthday cruise (it is 2 days after Christmas and the rates are so darn high) We might grab one and call it his birthday cruise in January.

We cruise late fall and celebrate both our birthdays on the cruise, even though the real bday may be a couple weeks or months away.

Did you enjoy the rainforest room ????

And did you manage to find out Rainforest Room length of cruise pass pricing options ?

We did a B2B on the Dream in December 2015 -- we really enjoyed it !! Much more flexibility in terms of doing scheduled things and having down time, since we knew things like shows would be repeated the next cruise. it allowed us to really pick and choose which we did on which cruise and adjust around a=other things we wanted to do. We did a 3N4N and treated Nassau the first day as a sea day except for a brief trip to Starbucks to buy a mug. The second cruise we did Blue Lagoon. If we do Nassau in the future we will just stay on board.

It took us 4 years to reach platinum. After the first cruise we didn't cruise again for a year. In 2014 we did four cruises with three on the Fantasy. I would look at something different than the Caribbean. Europe is such a great experience for the kids. Have you considered a TA or a Med cruise. Some people are getting some great airfare on Norwegian air to BCN. Under 200.00 one way. The EBTA looks good too. 15 nights for about the same price as a Caribbean cruise. I don't think we'll be cruising as much in the future maybe two a year and not always on DCL. I'm running out of places to go on DCL.

That is exactly why we are considering Alaska or Europe...the Caribbean is getting kind of boring...but I LOVE the islands a lot. I would also like a PC cruise.

It took us 7 years. But we had a lot more actual nights cruising than many have once they've completed that 10th cruise - 90 nights. We prefer the longer, special cruises, so it took us a while.

It's also fun to plan something new. After the two trips to Europe I think I'll be ready to for a nice relaxing Caribbean cruise that doesn't involve 12 hours of flying, but yeah it's nice to get a break from the Caribbean.

I think we'll be doing more of these types of cruises when we cruise on DCL because they Caribbean is just getting to expensive on DCL.

I love the Rainforest, but this time did not get a pass. :) The prices for the length of cruise with scrubs were set at $144.00 for a single and $193.00 for a couple.

We have done 4 cruises on the Dream to Nassau and CC and now we just sort of hang out on the ship and enjoy less crowded pools and Aquaduck time. Well, at least on CC days. lol We have done Atlantis, a glass bottom boat tour and Greycliffe chocolatiers in Nassau and enjoyed them all. We don't see the shows as they are the same as the first time we saw them so that doesn't cut into our time. :)

Yes , we have 57 nights under our belt with six 7 night cruises, three 4 night cruises and one 3 night cruise. We had considered BTB 7 night cruises next year, but decided,we would rather go to Alaska or take a PC or something else instead. We are really lucky to live so close to PC and not have to add flights and travel time to our cruise time. :) And with my husbands business, taking those longer cruises are just not something we can do right now. But Alaska would not cut too much into our vacation and travel time. Just a few extra days for flights etc.

Really crazy on the 10 and 11 day Southern itineraries. Which would give us a couple more new ports but only 3 more nights for almost double the price of a September 7 night cruise which we favor.

I dont think these cruises will sell. I dont know if you can plan 2 months out, but I would expect to see some good GT rates similar to what we saw this year on the longer European cruises. I would love to do the 10 day Baltic, but I need a MUCH better price. I have ideas about what Id like to do next year. I even have s couple of cruises booked, but Im not commiting to anything until I see what happens with this Baltic cruise. I should know by March. I'm not really eager to go back to Europe, but I wouldn't pass up an opportunity. The dollar is strong and the Europe market is weak so I'll take advantage of it if I can. We got two really good deals on European cruises this year that were totally unplanned.

I am not sure...I read that the cruise before ours did not have full Navigators.
There was a nice amount of Halloween product on board AND a new tee shirt, Baseball cap and sweatshirts for Gold and Platinum members. I think they were fairly new because I did not see them on the Dream the week before. I spoke to the Merchandise officer (Jamie from Canada) and he told me they were brand spanking new.
I did not get a popcorn bucket this time ...sorry. :(

Yes, nothing happened to the ice cream...I just miss it. :) lol.
What?! We did NOT receive a tee shirt, Baseball cap or sweatshirt. We're platinum, and we received the beach bag and silver tumblers. So there was more?

I think the gold/platinum tshirt, baseball cap etc is merchandise available for sale. Not gifts.

Correct, these items are purchase-able items. Just started.

Also, as Platinum, you should have the choice of a fruit bowl, sparkling wine, or truffles.

No, you can buy them in the shops. Sorry for the confusion. :) Bag and Tumblers for us as gold.

I think they started giving the tumblers out between February and June. Our January cruise was a photo album, but the June, and 2 September cruises we got the cool tumblers. They are very sturdy and are very practical. :)
We got the tumbler on our May cruise. Sadly, only one, though. I've read that they're giving two per room now.
