Savannah has been sick for most of the week and we had been to visit the doctor earlier in the week, who gave her some cough medicine...well all night she was tossing and turning, kept waking up and moaning, so around 5 am, she woke up crying and holding her ear. I asked her what was wrong and she said, "I have a boo boo in my ear" :( I woke up DH and told him and he said she had an Ear Infection and we took her to the ER...Savannah has never had an Ear Infection before, so she doesn't understand why the pain is not going away:( Anyway, the doctor gave us some Penicillin and we just got home. Poor thing is so tired, she keeps closing her eyes, but the ear pain is making her miserable...so any *healing* pixie dust would be appreciated for my Boo, as I am sure this is going to be an extremely long day...

Thanks

So sorry for Savannah. Sending her some healing Pixie Dust Quick!

Ear infections are one of the worst things. I hope the medicine starts working fast and she is up on her feet feeling 100% soon. :D

Oh, poor Savannah :( Sending lots of PD, hope she feels better soon.

Don't know if this will help you but when my DD had ear infections we used to have her sleep almost sitting up. Either we would prop her bed pillows up as far as she could be comfortable or I would sleep in the living room chair holding her on my lap. It really seemed to help relieve some of the ear pressure. Hope she feels better soon.

Beanie, Swanmom idea of holding her to sleep works..Exhausting for you, but it is what I did with the twins, they had ear infections it seemed almost monthly the first 18 months of their life. Poor baby, ear infections are so painful, and at her age they don't really understand. Big hugs to her, and lots of get well PD. Big hugs to you...it is never easy seeing your kids sick.

Did you get a prescription for the numbing drops for her ear? They really help my kids sleep. The drops and Motrin should help, and the antibiotics usually kick in pretty quick. Hope she feel better soon!

Poor Savannah :( Healing pixie dust on the way.

Hope she's feeling better soon.

Poor Savanah, I hope she is feeling better soon!!! Sending lots of get well PD her way!

So sorry to hear about your DD. I sure hope she's feeling better soon, Beanie.

Hope Savannah is feeling better soon. Ear infections are tough. We also let the kids fall asleep in our laps. Must be the same as keeping the head propped up. Worked for us too.

aw, poor thing!
And poor mom, being tired and worried!

Pixie dust and a nice cozy nap this afternoon to you both!!

Awww...poor Savannah...and poor Mommy. I second the "numbing ear drops and Motrin " suggeston!!! My two LIVED with ear infections for years...this always worked for us! I'm sorry Beanie....nap when she naps today!!!

I second what everyone else said about the ear drops and Motrin. The good news is that she should already begin bouncing back by this evening or tomorrow morning. The antibiotics will knock it down pretty quick, especially since she has never had one before. (lucky girl!!!)

Awww, poor thing :( I remember trips to the ER with those earaches when I was little, they sure are awful. Healing Pixie Dust for Savannah, I hope she's feeling better really soon.

Awww, poor Savannah! :( I hope she feels better soon.
Lots of feel better soon PD heading her way!!
