A big thanks to all those on this board who provided us such great information!

We were just thrilled. Everything seemed to go our way during this stay... a truly wonderful vacation at a fabulous hotel. DH, DD (2.5y) and I would return to the Dolphin again for sure.

We arrived on 3/19 and stayed through 3/23. We used SPG cash and points (4000 points plus $60 per night) and was given a balcony w/resort view room. At check in, I asked for an Epcot fireworks view and was given a fabulous one! (We were in room 5031) It was a renovated room and was very comfortable for DH and I and a crib for DD.

This hotel is HUGE... my DD needed her stroller just for jaunting around the resort itself. There were conferences/conventions going on, but I did not find them obtrusive at any time. As for theming and "Disney magic" we TOTALLY felt it here as did my DD... who loved her "big fishie" hotel.

The pool was a bit chilly but we were otherwise occupied and had just come from a few days at the beach anyway...

Only ate at the Dolphin fountain and Tubbi's at the resort.... both were fine for what we needed them for.

Transportaion was fabulous.... truly a GREAT location, no matter where you are trying to go.

Glad to answer any questions if I can... Thanks again for all the info!

Thanks for the review. I am so glad you had a magical experience at the Dolphin. As you can see by looking at my avatar, I am a S/D fan, too! :sunny:

Thank you so much! DH, DD 2.5 and I are there in 2 weeks! Do you mind if I ask you where you put the crib? WE'll be doing the same!:D

Hi Sarahsmom73.... (funny, as I am Sara, born in 73... Dd is Maddie though :O)

Anyway... we had a double bedded room (weren't sure what would work better, crib or bed) and we but the crib on the far side of the room, same was as the door to balcony, next to one bed. The cribs are "regular" style, but small. My DD is average sized, about 30lbs (she'll be 3 in May) and it was snug, but she did fine. The cribs are actually metal and rather nice looking. It was in VERY good condition.

We tended to stay out on the balcony until she fell asleep. Not an ideal situation, but it worked as well as any hotel room situation can.

Hope that you have a WONDERFUL time!

Sara

Hi Sara! I'm Jen.. born in 73... DD is Sarah born in Aug 01.. It sounds just like us... We have asked for the double bed room but with a crib because we aren't sure what to use (She is still in her crib at home... )

Thank you so much for getting back to me! Glad to hear your trip was great and that the DOlphin is so convenient (Esp. having a 2 and 1/2 year old!!!)

For the WONDERFUL review and post of your recent stay! ::yes:: I am HOMESICK for the Dolphin...and can hardly wait until the summer to return.

Yep...I know #5031 very well (close to the ice machine across the hall on the corner!), I believe it is the second door on the left, as you turn the corner into the wing. You had a SPECTACULAR VIEW and renovated room...I'm so pleased for you and your family! :goodvibes:

Thanks for sharing your insight and experience. :sunny:
