Just got back from a 7 night stay at the BW. We had a large group (24 People) and used a grand villa and two 2 bedroom villas. The scaffolding on the BW side of Luna Park is starting to come down and the siding looks very nice. The parks were not crowded except on weekends. The staff was friendly but the lost and found people were useless. The rooms we had were all in very good shape and minor problems were fixed very quickly. The two bedroom villas were 2035 and 2047 and both had Boardwalk views. Any questions, please ask...Rich

Hi RWishbone
Hope you had a great time.

I have a few questions -

Which grand villa did you have? Was it a two story or a one story?
How clean were the villas including the balconies?
Did you use the GV for any large gatherings? How well did that work?

Also wondering how you handled transportation and how long your stay was.

thanks

Hi Crusader - We were in room 5047 which is a one story GV on the fifth ( top) floor. It is directly above the general store and the master bedroom has a balcony overlooking the BW and a window facing down into the courtyard entrance. The room ran along the BW so all of the rooms had balconies overlooking the BW. I found the GV to be very clean and the balconies were in very nice shape. One of the two balconies in the living room had a large "railing" making it difficult to see the BW straight down. All other balconies were typical configurations. We were there with a total of 24 people and we used the room almost every night for a get-together. We had dinner in the room 4 nights and had so much fun that we even cancelled a dinner out scheduled for the last night to eat in our room. My children ( ages 18 months to 8 years) preferred eating in the room so they could play . I found it more enjoyable to eat in the room since my two littlest, especially the 18 month boy, usually end up running around and my wife or I end spending our time walking around with them at a restaurant. We arrived on a Saturday and checked out the following Saturday for a toal of 7 nights. We would usually gather for a cocktail/beer in the room before heading out each night and many times everyone came back to our room after EPCOT closed for a drink or dessert. Our group was split between children and adults and ran from ages 18 months to 81 years. We go every January - usually about 12-14 people- but this was the first time we ever stayed in a GV. It was a whole bunch of points but it was worth every point. Even when everyone was in the room, the room never felt crowded.....Rich

Hello again Crusader..Sorry I forgot to respond to the transportation question. We used Tiffany towncar and we hired 3 vans for the trip to the BW and 3 vans for the trip back to the Airport. On the way there, one van stopped and shopped and the other two vans went straight to the resort...It worked out very well on the way there but for the trip back they sent us 2 vans and one towncar. which made it a bit more crowded.. All in all it worked welll..Rich

Wow -

Rich, it sounds like you had a fantastic time! We will also be a large group (22+ people) this Oct and are hoping to use the grand villa to spend time together.
I wish we had enough points to be there a week, but unfortunately our trip will only be for 5 days.
Thanks for all your help! I really cannot wait to go!
