It was wonderful! I honestly loved it! The room was beautiful. We were so close to tons of entertainment and food. The quiet pool is great. It was a great experience!!! If you have any ???'s just ask.:)

Welcome back, I am glad you had a great time. Did you have a standard room? How easy was it to get breakfast food? Did you utilize the refillable mugs, and was that process painless? Thanks!

I'm glad you had a good time. I am staying there next month, concierge, so you just got me more excited. I like the location, the entertainment and all the bells and whistles.:)

Hi! I'm considering staying at the BWI after a 7 day cruise next year. I've got two kids, will be 10 and 4. How is the pool? Anything special? Have you ever stayed at the Dolphin, if so how does BWI compare? We can only stay at couple of days so the location I think would be a big plus, less travel time to EPCOT and MGM. How about price for a regular room, maybe with a decent view. Any suggestions on room #? I'm just full of questions!!!

Welcome back... so glad you enjoyed the BWI. Tell us about your room location. Did you see our favorite BW entertainer "Carlo" the fire/sword eater????:D

Samsma,

There are a couple of options for pools at BWI and BWV. There is a quiet pool by BWI. The main pool is Luna Park (on the BWV side) that features a clown slide.

I think your kids will enjoy Luna Park. Our 10 year nephew had a great time.

Let me answer all of your questions. We were in room 1344. It was a standard view according to our reservation but it had a great view. It was walk out to the quiet pool, had a small patio with some landscaping between us and the sidewalk. There were 2 queen beds and a day bed in the room. The bath area had a double sink with large mirror and a magnifying mirror on the wall. The toilet and tub were in a separate area with a door. We have never stayed at the Swan or Dolphin so I could not give you a comparison on the 2. We have stayed at the Yacht Club (and it is still my favorite) and they do compare to each other. I stayed at the quiet pool since we left our kids at home. It is truly quiet! The pool is large and comfortable and there is a hot tub that would fit 8 or so. The décor is like a Greek Temple. There is a great pool for kids that is like a circus theme. There is a clown, a roller coaster water slide and elephants that shoot water from their trunks. As for food the choices are unlimited! For breakfast I walked down to Boardwalk Bakery and had muffins and such (my DH was at a seminar and his was provided). I did not even mess with refillable cups, so I am not sure if they were available or not. Transportation a little slower than in the past and it appeared that some routes had been combined and some done away with. You can walk or take the boats to MGM and Epcot. Buses are used for Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, Downtown Disney and the water parks. Entertainment is great. We had a really enjoyable evening at Jellyrolls. Walked on the Boardwalk and saw the walkway shows and watched the fireworks from the garden by our room. Hope this helps!:)

Disneypal- Thanks! Why do you still like Yacht Club better? What gives it a better rating for you? We stayed at YC in December and LOVED it, but thought we would try something new. Thanks again!:)

The Yacht Clubs pools are much better. The BW main pool is to circus like and childish. YC is good for everyone. They also have a nice play ground area, snack bar, beach area and lazy river. Quiet pools are about the same. Plus there is Beaches and Cream which I personally love. I like the decor better at YC in the rooms. Brighter, cheerier and more my style. Rooms are very similar in size. The YC is more spread out than BW but I also felt like it was quieter. Transportation is the same for both areas. Gift shop at YC and BC are difinately better than BW but there is always the ones on the actual BW strip. So as you can see it is totally my personal opinion. i am in no way saying I didn't like BW, I did very much but YC is still my favorite!:)

Disneypal - Do you know, were the rooms recently renovated at the BW? I thought I read somewhere that the resort was being renovated recently.

I am going to the Boardwalk with my 83 year old grandmother in late September. Were the rooms near the garden area and quiet pool considered standard or water view? I would like to minimize her walking at the hotel, so was the room you describe on the first floor and relatively quiet. I think she would love to be able to walk out of the room and sit in the hot tub or go swimming in the pool. what do you think about the resort for an adult vacation?
Thanks for any information!

Kim, I would ask CRO to note those requests on your reservation, mention that your Grand. is 83. I think if it is at all possible the staff at BWI would try to accomodate her needs. She may also enjoy the covered porch with rockers overlooking the BW. The lobby is very pretty and the Bellview Lounge is very sedate and relaxing.
